Actuation device for a motor vehicle lock
An actuation device for a lock of a motor vehicle, said actuation device allowing a plurality of functions without requiring a large number of parts and/or a complex and/or voluminous structure. This is achieved in that the actuation device according to the claims for opening a locking mechanism of a motor vehicle lock comprises an anti-theft device, a central locking device, and a childproof lock device. A multifunction coupling lever is provided which is capable of opening a locking mechanism of a motor vehicle lock by means of an opening movement. The opening movement of the multifunction coupling lever can be prevented by the anti-theft device, the central locking device, and the childproof lock device. Thus, an actuation device is provided which is capable of performing a plurality of functions while comprising few components. Because only a few components are required, the structural complexity can be low.
Vehicle exit assist apparatus
A vehicle exit assist apparatus includes: a right BSM ECU configured to issue a warning when a moving object approaching an own vehicle is detected; and a message uttering device including an amplifier and a speaker configured to operate by electric power supplied from an in-vehicle battery, and being configured to utter a sound message in accordance with control of the right BSM ECU. The right BSM ECU is configured to supply electric power to the message uttering device when a generator configured to charge the in-vehicle battery is operating, and bring the power supply to the message uttering device to an OFF state when a predetermined condition is satisfied after the generator is stopped.

Closure latch assembly with a power release mechanism and an inside handle release mechanism
A closure latch assembly for a motor vehicle closure system includes a power release mechanism and an inside handle release mechanism mechanically connected to an inside door handle. The power release mechanism is used to shift the inside handle release mechanism from a normally Disengaged operating state to an Engaged operating state. In the Disengaged state, the inside handle release mechanism is uncoupled from the latch release chain of components to prevent latch release via actuation of the inside door handle. In the Engaged state, the inside handle release mechanism is coupled for the latch release chain of components to permit latch release via actuation of the inside door handle. The power release mechanism only shifts the inside release mechanism from its Disengaged state into its Engaged state in the event of an emergency condition.

Vehicle periphery monitoring apparatus
A vehicle periphery monitoring apparatus mounted on a vehicle includes a first imaging unit that captures an image of a rear side and a diagonally backward, a distance detection unit that detects a distance from the vehicle to an object present in the rear side and the diagonally backward, based on the image captured by the first imaging unit, a course prediction unit that predicts a course of the object, based on transition of the distance to the object detected by the distance detection unit, and an entry prediction unit that predicts whether the object enters a door opening and closing area, based on the course of the object predicted by the course prediction unit and the door opening and closing area which is set on sides of the vehicle and defines a movable range in which side doors of the vehicle are opened and closed.

Interior door lock operator integrated into pull door handle
A side door of a motor vehicle has a door lock actuator for a door lock, and a pivoting lever pivotable about a rotational axis of a joint. The pivoting lever has a coupling section coupled to a mechanical actuating member of the door lock in the installed state. An interior door pull handle has one or more fastening regions and at least one handle region having an axial extent. The pivoting lever is integrated into the handle region of the interior door pull handle. The rotational axis is oriented substantially transversely with respect to the axial extent.
METHOD OF UNLOCKING A VEHICLE DOOR
A method of deactivating a secondary lock feature of a vehicle includes sensing a movement of an interior door handle, and determining a status of the secondary lock feature to ascertain whether the secondary lock feature is active. The method includes starting a timer to measure an elapsed time since sensing the movement of the interior door handle, sensing an environmental condition of an interior passenger compartment of the vehicle with a sensor, and setting an unlock delay time based on the environmental condition. When the secondary lock feature is disposed in an active state and the elapsed time period is greater than or equal to the unlock delay time, the method includes automatically generating a control signal to thereby deactivate the secondary lock feature.
