Methods for disinfecting contact lenses with a manganese-coated disc, and related contact lens treatment systems
Contact lens treatment systems and methods for disinfecting contact lenses are described. These systems and methods utilize a coated catalytic disc, which contains a support disc and a manganese oxide present on at least a portion of the support disc. The coated catalytic disc contains 300 μg to 1800 μg of manganese, often in the form of manganese dioxide.
LENS CARE CONTAINER
A lens care container (1), in particular for contact lenses such as hard or soft contact lenses, comprises: a receptacle (2) for receiving a lens and a lens care liquid, a cap (3) configured to be attached to the receptacle (2) to close the receptacle (2), a sensor (5) configured to indicate an actual loading of the container (1) with germs or configured to indicate a pH value of the lens care liquid in the receptacle (2).
The sensor (5) is arranged in the receptacle (2) when the cap (3) is attached to the receptacle (2).

Grafted polymer and use thereof
A grafted glycosaminoglycan polymer is disclosed. The grafted glycosaminoglycan polymer comprises a glycosaminoglycan having a polymer backbone and one or more side chains comprising a polyalkylene glycol-containing residue grafted onto the polymer backbone.
DISPOSABLE CONTACT LENS CLEANSING DEVICE
Described herein is a single-use cleansing device for cleaning a contact lens, and a cleansing solution. The single-use cleansing device includes a first compartment and a second compartment, wherein the first compartment comprises a wipe, and the second compartment comprises a cleansing solution comprising Euphrasia.
OCULAR DEVICE CASE AND REFILL CONTAINER USED FOR THE OCULAR DEVICE CASE
An ocular device case with a new structure that can solve unexpected problems in the related art, for example, adverse effects on user's eyes by splashes of treatment liquid upon pouring the treatment liquid into the device case from a separate refill container. In a device case including: a case body accommodating treatment liquid with ocular devices such as a contact lens; and a lid, a container receiving portion is provided such that a spout of a refill container is brought into contact with the refill receiving portion so as to allow the treatment liquid to flow into the device case.
DISINFECTION SYSTEM OF CONTACT LENS
A disinfection system of a contact lens comprising immersing the contact lens in a disinfecting solution containing hydrogen peroxide in a concentration of 1 to 10% and neutralizing the hydrogen peroxide in the disinfecting solution through contact with a metal catalyst, where the disinfecting solution contains an organic carboxylic acid or a salt of the organic carboxylic acid, the organic carboxylic acid having a structure in which a hydroxyl group and a carboxyl group are bonded to one carbon atom; the disinfecting solution is adjusted to have a pH of 6 to 8; and the disinfecting solution after the neutralization is adjusted to have an osmotic pressure of 250 to 350 mOsm.
PACKAGING SOLUTIONS
A packaging system for the storage of an ophthalmic device is disclosed. The packaging system includes a sealed container containing one or more unused ophthalmic devices immersed in an aqueous packaging solution that includes one or more conjugated glycosaminoglycans having a polymer backbone having a reactive functional moiety conjugated to an amine group having one or more moieties that inhibit and/or prevent one or more of oxidation and hydrolytic degradation of the polymer backbone during use in the eye; wherein the aqueous packaging solution has an osmolality of at least about 150 mOsm/kg, a pH of about 6 to about 9 and is sterilized.
