A vehicle is provided that includes a wiper-integrated tailgate handle switch mounted to a window glass of a tailgate. The wiper-integrated tailgate handle switch includes a tailgate handle switch, which is configured to press a current carrying switch arranged in the internal space thereof using the height of an insertion space defined by a difference in height between transverse and longitudinal bodies of a handle switch housing, and a wiper. Therefore, a degree of freedom in design of the tailgate is increased which improves the aesthetic of the tailgate by removing the tailgate handle switch from the tailgate.

DOOR LOCKING MECHANISM DETERMINATION AND VERIFICATION SYSTEM AND METHOD

A system is provided that may include a motor, a locking mechanism, an encoder, and a controller. The motor may rotate a shaft to move a door between an open position and a closed position. The locking mechanism may alternate between a locked and an unlocked position. The locking mechanism may retain the door in the closed position responsive to the locking mechanism being in the locked position and may allow the door to move to the open position responsive to the locking mechanism being in the unlocked position. The encoder may be coupled with the motor and may determine one or more of movement, a speed, or a direction the motor moves. The controller may receive output from the encoder indicative of the one or more of the movement, the speed, or the direction the motor moves to determine a position of the locking mechanism.

REVERSIBLE ACTIVATION UNIT FOR ALTERNATE IMPINGEMENT OF TWO SEPARATE MOTOR VEHICLE FUNCTIONAL ELEMENTS
20180216378 · 2018-08-02 ·

The object of the invention is a reversible activation unit for the alternate impingement of two separate motor vehicle functional elements (1, 2), in particular two motor vehicle door latches (1, 2). The activation unit possesses a single motor (3, 4) and two connecting elements (8, 10). The motor (3, 4) impinges either the distanced first functional element (1) via the connecting element (8) or the distanced second functional element (2) via the second connecting element (10) dependent on its working direction. According to the invention, the first connecting element (8) is connected to a first lever (7) and the second connecting element (10) to a second lever (9). The respective lever (7, 9) is impinged dependent on the working direction of the motor (3, 4) which preferably works in a linear manner. Furthermore, the two levers (7, 9) are connected via an interposed spring (15).

VEHICLE DOOR LATCH DEVICE

Provided is a vehicle door latch device capable of shortening of energization time to an electrical drive source while a moving member is restrained by abutting against a stopper portion and improvement of durability of the electrical drive source. A control unit of the door latch device controls an electric motor for driving a sector gear in a release direction based on a door operation of an operation switch, and controls to stop a power supply to the electric motor when the latch is rotated from the full-latch position to the open position and a full-latch detecting switch is activated while the moving member is brought into abutment with the stopper portion and is stopped.

LOCK SYSTEM FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE

A lock system for a motor vehicle includes a handle for opening a door or hatch, a drive device coupled to the handle, and a control device which is suited for checking an access code of a mobile ID transmitter, coupled to the drive device. A lock device is provided for the door or hatch. The handle can move between a non-use position in which it is flush with an outer contour of the door or hatch and an opening position in which it protrudes at least in part from the outer contour. The drive device is coupled and designed for opening or closing the door or hatch such that it moves along a movement path along which the drive device extends the handle into its opening position or retracts it into its non-use position, as well as actuating the lock device.

POWER DOOR PRESENTER WITH LATCHING FEATURE

A power door presenter system for pivoting a vehicle door relative to a vehicle body between a closed position and a partially open deployed position includes a presenter assembly mounted to one of the vehicle body and the vehicle door with an auxiliary striker fixed to the other one of the vehicle body and the vehicle door. The presenter assembly has an extensible member configured for movement between retracted and extended positions corresponding to the closed and deployed positions and an auxiliary latch mechanism moveable between latched engagement with the auxiliary striker when the vehicle door is indicated as not being under manual control of a user to allow automated return of the vehicle door to the closed position and unlatched engagement from the auxiliary striker when the vehicle door is indicated as being under manual control of the user to allow the door to be moved to a fully opened position.

MOTOR VEHICLE LOCK

The invention relates to a motor vehicle lock comprising a locking mechanism provided with a rotary latch and at least one pawl, a rotary movement of the rotary latch can be blocked by means of the pawl, a drive device by means of which the pawl can be transferred from the locked position into a release position for the locking mechanism, and an adjusting device (9). A motor vehicle part (4) accommodating the vehicle lock can be moved from the closed position into an open position by means of the adjusting device (9). Said adjusting device (9) maintains the motor vehicle part (4) in the open position such that the motor vehicle part (4) can be prevented from opening automatically from the open position.

REFUSE COLLECTION VEHICLE TAILGATE LOCK SYSTEM
20240368927 · 2024-11-07 ·

A locking assembly can achieve positive locking of a tailgate, by including a guideblock having a guide slot defined therein, a lockplate configured to be slidably received within the guide slot, and a clevis that is configured to operatively cooperate with the lockplate. A locking hook formed in the lockplate will capture a pin in the clevis to achieve the desired locking capabilities. A capture pin is removably coupled to the guideblock and positioned within a containment in the lockplate to control travel. An actuator is coupled at one end to a portion of the vehicle and at the other end to the lockplate in a manner to cause movement of the lockplate and subsequent movement of the tailgate in an opening direction. The actuator is further configured to cause the tailgate to move in a closing direction until reaching a closed position and then moving the lockplate from an unlocked position to a locked position, thus causing the locking hook to capture the pin in the clevis and further causing the tailgate to be positively locked.

A vehicular exterior door handle assembly includes a base, a handle movable relative to the base between recessed and deployed positions, an actuator that is operable to move the handle between the positions, and a connection mechanism that pivots relative to the base to move the handle between the positions. The actuator operates to pull and release a cable to pivot the connection mechanism to move the handle. The connection mechanism, when the actuator is operated to pull the cable, pivots in a first direction to move the handle from the recessed toward the deployed position. A biasing element of the connection mechanism biases the connection mechanism in a second direction to move the handle toward the recessed position when the actuator releases the cable. Responsive to cable tension being reduced by a threshold amount, the connection mechanism adjusts to increase tension.
