CLOSURE LATCH ASSEMBLY WITH POWER LATCH RELEASE MECHANISM HAVING DUAL DRIVE POWER RELEASE ACTUATOR AND MULTI-STAGE GEARSET
A power latch assembly for a vehicle door of a motor vehicle includes a ratchet configured for movement between striker capture and striker release positions, wherein the ratchet is biased toward the striker release position, and a pawl configured for movement between a ratchet holding position, whereat the pawl maintains the ratchet in the striker capture position, and a ratchet releasing position, whereat the pawl releases the ratchet to the striker release position. A powered actuator is energizable to move the pawl from the ratchet holding position to the ratchet releasing position, wherein a multistage reduction mechanism operably connects an output of the powered actuator to the pawl to provide a first release torque on pawl during normal use and a greater second release torque on pawl during emergency use.
Door latch, in particular motor vehicle door latch
A door latch and in particular a motor vehicle door latch, which is equipped with a locking mechanism consisting substantially of a catch and a pawl, further having at least one locking mechanism sensor to determine the closing/opening state of the locking mechanism, further having a control unit for evaluating signals of the locking mechanism sensors, and having a trigger sensor for opening the locking mechanism in an electro-motoric manner. According to the invention, a multiple operation of the trigger sensor regardless of the state of the locking mechanism sensor is implemented for opening the locking mechanism.

Vehicle door latch with safety device
The present invention relates to a vehicle door latch, and more particularly, to a vehicle door latch having a safety device, which is capable of mechanically or electrically preventing an electrical malfunction of the vehicle door latch, installed at the interior or exterior thereof so that safety of the vehicle door latch is improved.
Closure latch assembly with a power release mechanism and motor control system
A motor control system for a closure latch assembly is provided and includes a power release motor operatively coupled to a power release gear of the closure latch assembly. A plurality of relays are coupled between one of a first motor terminal and a second motor terminal and one of a voltage supply and an electrical ground to provide one of a first motor current flow to drive the power release motor in a first direction and a second motor current flow to drive the power release motor in a second direction. An electronic control unit is coupled to the plurality of relays and configured to command the plurality of relays to provide the first motor current flow in one of a power release mode and a release mode and the second motor current flow in one of a reset mode and an unlock mode.
Motor vehicle door lock
A motor vehicle door lock, particularly a motor vehicle bonnet lock, includes a ratchet mechanism which substantially consists of a rotary latch and a pawl. The ratchet mechanism interacts with a lock retainer pin on a vehicle bonnet. A retention element is additionally provided which holds the pawl in a retention position, raised from the rotary latch, during unlocking of the bonnet. The lock retainer pin continues to engage in the rotary latch when in said retention position. During a first opening process which proceeds from the retention position, the lock retainer pin transfers the retention element into a release position that releases the pawl. During a subsequent bonnet closing process, the pawl can thus engage in the rotary latch, which can be pivoted without exertion of force by the lock retainer pin at least into the hold position.
Motor vehicle lock
A motor vehicle lock, including a detent mechanism with a catch and a pawl. The motor vehicle lock may include a drivetrain arrangement with a drive element that may move in a predefined drive direction. During a cinching sequence, the drive element moves in the predefined drive direction, so that the drivetrain arrangement engages and drives the catch in a closing direction to a primary closed position. During a release sequence, the drive element may move in the predefined drive direction, so that the drivetrain arrangement engages and drives the pawl in a release direction to a release state. During the release sequence, the drive element moves in the predefined drive direction, so that the drivetrain arrangement moves to a clearance state, such that the pawl is in a release state and the catch may pivot to an open position drivetrain.
Motor vehicle locking system with an electrical opening device
A motor vehicle locking system for a door or hatch, comprising a locking mechanism with a rotary latch and a pawl for latching the rotary latch, a drive pulley for an electrical opening means, which drive pulley can be rotated in a motorized manner in an operating direction for tripping the locking mechanism, and a return spring for rotating the drive pulley in the direction opposite the operating direction, wherein the drive pulley can be rotated in the operating direction without being influenced by the return spring or at least without spring load. Therefore, higher loads can be moved by the drive pulley.

Vehicle door latch apparatus
Lock mechanism is provided between pawl lever and manual release mean. The present vehicle door latch apparatus includes ratchet member that engages latch and that can be released from latch by release component force F2, latch restraint that prevents ratchet member from being disengaged from latch and powered release means that moves ratchet restraint. Ratchet member includes base lever and pawl lever. When ratchet restraint is moved, base lever is moved to a non-regulated position, where pawl lever can be disengaged from latch by release component force F2. Manual release means is connected to pawl lever. Lock mechanism is provided between pawl lever and manual release means.
