Closure latch assembly with power lock mechanism having outside lock lever water protection
A vehicle closure panel latch assembly having pivotable actuator lever sealed against the ingress of water into a housing of the latch assembly is provided. The actuator lever is configured for receipt in an opening of the housing and for operable connection to an internal latch component. A seal member is disposed about a portion of the actuator lever to form a water-tight seal between the housing and the actuator lever to prevent the passage of water through the opening.
Latch assembly with power release and dual stage cinch function
A closure latch assembly for a decklid configured to provide a power release operation and a power cinch operation. The power cinch operation is a dual-stage cinch operation having a first non-driven cinching stage and a second driven cinching stage. The first cinching stage utilizes the weight of the decklid to drive the decklid from a pop-up position to a cinched position. The second cinching stage utilizes a cinch mechanism to drive the decklid from its cinched position into a fully-closed position.

Closure latch assembly for vehicle door panels having a latch mechanism with enhanced pawl configuration
A closure latch assembly for a motor vehicle closure panel includes a housing; a ratchet pivotably mounted for movement between striker capture and a striker release positions; a release lever, and a pawl assembly. Pawl assembly includes a first and second pawls. First pawl is pivotably mounted to housing for movement about a first pivot axis between ratchet checking and ratchet releasing positions in response to movement of release lever. Second pawl is pivotably mounted to first pawl for movement about a second pivot axis spaced from first pivot axis. Second pawl is engaged with ratchet locking surface while first pawl is in the ratchet checking position to releasably maintain ratchet in the striker capture position. Second pawl is pivotal relative to first pawl about second pivot axis when first pawl pivots toward the ratchet releasing position to allow ratchet to pivot to the striker release position.

DOOR LATCH DEVICE
A door latch device includes a latch mechanism, a motor, an electric release mechanism, a manual release mechanism, a lock mechanism, a courtesy switch, and a door lock ECU and the door lock ECU is communicably connected to a vehicle body ECU provided on a main body side of a vehicle. The door lock ECU includes a printed wiring board and each terminal of the courtesy switch is connected to the printed wiring board.
ACTUATING APPARATUS FOR OPENING AND CLOSING A COVER IN OR ON A VEHICLE
An actuating apparatus (1) for opening and closing a cover in or on a vehicle, having a locking and/or arresting kinematics that cooperate with the cover. The actuating apparatus includes a housing (2) and an actuating part (3) received in the housing (2) and movably supported relative to the housing (2). The actuating part (3) cooperates with the cover in such a way that the actuating part (3) performs a movement relative to the housing (2) between a first position and a second position upon a movement of the cover between a closed position and an open position, wherein, in the first position, the actuating part (3) is in a locked state. The actuating apparatus (1) further includes an elastically deformable spring system (4) associated with the actuating part (3), in particular having a progressive spring characteristic.
Emergency mechanism for lid kinematic device
A linkage for opening and closing a lid through actuation of an electric motor 12 includes a base bracket 21 extending in a longitudinal direction of a vehicle, and a driving lever 14 having one end pivotally connected to the bracket 21 and the other end connected to the lid. The driving lever is driven via a pinion 22 by a sector gear 31 driven by the electric motor. The sector gear is attached to the bracket 21. The electric motor is fixed to a motor bracket 11 and attached via the motor bracket 11 to the bracket. Loosening a member supporting a lateral end portion of the motor bracket 11 and a bolt 41 fixing the bracket 11 to the bracket 21 allows the pinion and the sector gear to be axially disengaged from each other.
ELECTRONICALLY ACTUATED AND LOCKING GLOVE BOX SYSTEM
An electronic latch includes a housing, a motor having an output shaft, a gear arrangement comprising at least one gear that is configured to be driven by the output shaft of the motor, a rack coupled to the gear arrangement and configured to move in response to motion of the gear arrangement, and at least one pawl or pawl connector that is connected to the rack. Motion of the rack causes or permits the at least one pawl or pawl connector to move between (i) a withdrawn position and (ii) a deployed position in which the pawl or pawl connector is extended further from the housing as compared with the withdrawn position.
VEHICLE DOOR OPERATING DEVICE
A vehicle door operating device including: a closing latch unit holding a door in a closed position, wherein the door is supported on a vehicle body to open and close; a fully opening latch unit holding the door in a fully open position; an actuator having a motor; an emergency handle operated manually from a vehicle interior side; and an operation relay unit which operates the closing latch unit and the fully opening latch unit to be unlatched respectively when driven by the actuator, and operates the closing latch unit to be unlatched when manually operated by the emergency handle such that the closing latch unit is held in an unlatched state.
