VEHICLE DOOR LOCK CAPABLE OF ASSISTING DOOR OPENING
A vehicle door lock is disposed in a vehicle door and includes a ratchet wheel rotatable between a locked position where it captures a lock catch disposed on a vehicle body and an unlocking position where it releases the lock catch to allow the vehicle door to be opened. The vehicle door lock further includes an ice-breaking mechanism disposed in the vehicle door, and the ice-breaking mechanism applies a torque to the ratchet wheel to cause the ratchet wheel to rotate in a direction to push the lock catch so as to open the vehicle door. The vehicle door lock can be opened by pushing the ratchet wheel with e ice-breaker mechanism when the vehicle door is frozen or deformed due to collision, the operation noise is low, the cost is low, and the paint surface of the vehicle door is protected.
CLOSURE LATCH ASSEMBLY WITH CRASH UNLOCK MECHANISM USING SINGLE ELECTRIC MOTOR
A closure latch assembly includes a ratchet and a pawl, with the ratchet being moveable between a striker capture position and a striker release position and the pawl being moveable between a ratchet holding position, whereat the ratchet is maintained in the striker capture position, a ratchet release position, whereat the ratchet is biased toward the striker release position. A power actuator operably coupled to a drive gear having an actuation feature fixed thereto, wherein rotation of the drive gear from a rest position in a first direction causes the actuation feature to operably move the pawl between the ratchet holding position and the ratchet release position, and wherein rotation of the drive gear from the rest position in a second direction causes an outside door handle to be brought into an operable condition to allow mechanical actuation of the closure latch assembly via the outside door handle.

SENSOR ASSEMBLY FOR A LIFTGATE OPENING SYSTEM OF A REAR LIFTGATE OF A MOTOR VEHICLE
A sensor assembly for a liftgate opening system for a rear liftgate of a motor vehicle is provided. The rear liftgate includes a door frame, a stationary window, a lock device, and an actuator for moving the lock device between locked and unlocked states. The sensor assembly includes a housing attached to the stationary window and a substrate disposed within the housing. The sensor assembly further includes a capacitive touch sensor engaging a target portion of the stationary window and configured to generate a touch signal, in response to a user touching the target portion of the stationary window. The sensor assembly further includes a proximity sensor generating a proximity signal, in response to the user being disposed within a predetermined distance of the proximity sensor.
