COMPONENT-INTEGRATED TAILGATE HANDLE SWITCH FOR VEHICLE
A vehicle is provided that includes a wiper-integrated tailgate handle switch mounted to a window glass of a tailgate. The wiper-integrated tailgate handle switch includes a tailgate handle switch, which is configured to press a current carrying switch arranged in the internal space thereof using the height of an insertion space defined by a difference in height between transverse and longitudinal bodies of a handle switch housing, and a wiper. Therefore, a degree of freedom in design of the tailgate is increased which improves the aesthetic of the tailgate by removing the tailgate handle switch from the tailgate.
MULTI-PULL LATCH AND LOCK SYSTEMS FOR COMPARTMENT CLOSURE ASSEMBLIES OF MOTOR VEHICLES
Disclosed are lock mechanisms for latch assemblies of vehicle compartment hoods, methods for making or using such lock mechanisms, and motor vehicles equipped with a multi-pull latch and lock system for releasably locking a hood assembly. A lock mechanism includes a gear that couples a closure latch to a latch release mechanism. The gear moves between a latched position, whereat the closure latch secures the closure in a closed position, and an unlatched position, whereat the gear transfers activation forces from the release mechanism to disengage the closure latch from the closure. A pawl is movable between a locked position, whereat the pawl engages and locks the gear in the latched position, and an unlocked position, whereat the pawl disengages the gear. An actuator is operatively engaged with a vehicle door to automatically move the pawl to the unlocked position responsive to movement of the door to an open position.
MOTOR VEHICLE LOCK
The invention relates to a lock (1) for a motor vehicle, in particular a side door lock, comprising a locking mechanism (7), a triggering lever (6), an actuating lever (2) and a coupling lever (3), wherein the triggering lever (6) can be coupled to the actuating lever (2) by means of the coupling lever (3), and a means for controlling the coupling lever (3), wherein the coupling lever (3) can be guided by means of a control cam (11).
VEHICLE SIDE DOOR LATCH APPARATUS
A compact vehicle side door latch apparatus has a latch that is rotated from an unlatched position to a fully-latched position, a ratchet that engages the latch in order to prevent the latch from being rotated in a releasing direction, a door opening link that is moved in a door opening direction in order to allow the ratchet to be disengaged from the latch, a motor that moves the door opening link in the door opening direction by motor power, and a door key lever that moves the door opening link in the door opening direction by an operation of a key plate. The door key lever is connected to the door opening link with play, and the motor power is transmitted to the door opening link without passing through disconnecting means of the power transmission path.
INTEGRATED DOOR PRESENTMENT MECHANISM FOR A LATCH
A latch assembly for a closure panel of a vehicle, the latch assembly including: a housing; a ratchet and pawl pivotally coupled to the housing, the ratchet for interaction with a striker such that one of the latch assembly and the striker being mounted on the closure panel and the other of the latch assembly and the striker being mounted on a body of the vehicle; a presentment mechanism mounted to the housing having one or more presentment members, such that the one or more presentment members is driven for influencing a position of the ratchet during presentment of the striker out of a slot of the ratchet to a presentment position; and an actuator for engaging with the presentment mechanism to effect said driven of the one or more presentment members.
VEHICLE CLOSURE PANEL ASSEMBLY AND CARRIER ASSEMBLY THEREFOR
A vehicle panel assembly for a motor vehicle and carrier module therefor are provided. The vehicle body panel assembly includes a structural panel body defining an internal cavity with the carrier module secured to the structural panel body at least partially in the internal cavity. The carrier module has a carrier with an actuator attachment region integrally formed thereon and providing a first attachment feature. A latch assembly is secured to the carrier module and an actuator is configured in operable communication with the latch assembly to selectively cinch the latch assembly. The actuator has a housing providing a second attachment feature, wherein the first and second attachment features are configured for attachment to one another.
Motor vehicle latching system with a drive and an electronic braking device
The task of the invention is to provide a motor vehicle latching system with an actuator and an electronic component switched in parallel in a technically simple and reliable manner which prevents undesired return movements of the actuator. The task is solved by a latching system with an electrical drive having an electrical plug-in connector component and with an external electrical plug-in connector component (1), which is connected to the electrical plug-in connector component of the electrical drive and which has an electronic braking device for the electrical drive, whereby the external electrical plug-in connector component (1) has two electrical contacts (2, 3) which each have a recess (4) which is open on one side in which an electrical conductor of the electronic braking device is accommodated in each instance.
Fuel door actuator
The invention concerns an Actuator for a fuel tank cap (1) or tailboard in a vehicle comprising a latch (2) for locking the fuel tank cap (1) or tailboard as well as an electric drive (3) to enable an automatic opening and closing cycle of the fuel tank cap or tailboard, wherein a rotatable control plate (4) with a control contour for transmitting a force and/or motion by means of a preferably direct contact to at least one adjacent member is designed such that the transmission of force and/or motion depends on the rotation position of the control plate (4). A compact actuator can be obtained. The invention further concerns a method for actuation the fuel tank cap (1) or tailboard, wherein firstly, a latch release cable (10) is pulled in order to unlock the latch (2), secondly, a rotation motion is transmitted in order to open the fuel tank cap (1) or tailboard, thirdly, the latch release cable (10) is released until the closing step is initiated, and/or fourthly, the cycle comprising the first, second, third, and/or forth sequence runs in reverse order and direction for automatically closing the fuel tank cap (1) or tailboard. A very easy automatic opening and closing cycle can be obtained.
Vehicle door power lock actuator
A power lock actuator is provided for a door lock mechanism of a vehicle. The actuator includes an electric motor, a linear drive, and a slip clutch between the motor and the linear drive. The clutch includes a dual-lobe pinion for pulsed energy transmission from the motor to the linear drive, to provide soft starts and stops, which extend the life of the drive assembly 26. The linear drive includes a screw with multiple, discontinuous male thread segments to minimize friction with female threads on the extendible and retractable carriage, thereby minimizing wear between the screw and the carriage.
Door locking structure
A door locking structure includes a door located at a side of a vehicle, a locking unit provided at the door, an input unit configured to apply unlocking input to the locking unit, and a controller configured to receive the input through the input unit and to unlock the locking unit.
