Vehicle door latch security tether
A vehicle that includes a door, handle, shaft, and a latch assembly is provided. The latch assembly is coupled to the door to selectively secure the door. The latch assembly includes a security tether configured to prevent the shaft from moving the pawl when the lock lever is located in the locked condition. The security tether further includes: a plate attachable to the latch assembly; the plate includes an aperture sized to receive at least a portion of the lock lever that is disposed through the aperture; the plate includes first and second stop surfaces to limit movement of the lock lever; the first and second stop surfaces are also spaced apart from each other; the lock lever is movable between the first and second stop surfaces; at least the first stop surface is spaced apart from the first location on the pawl; and the lock lever engages the first stop surface when the lock lever is located in the locked condition to prevent the pawl from moving to the unlatched condition and unlatching the latching assembly.
Latch mechanism for an openable box side of a pickup truck
A vehicle includes a box extending from a cab and including a floor and a first sidewall attached to a headboard, via a hinge assembly, disposed normal to the floor and sidewall. The hinge assembly is configured to allow the first sidewall to rotate away from the floor at the headboard. The vehicle also includes a latch mechanism. The latch mechanism includes a pin having an end and a shaft attached to the first sidewall and a receiver having a plate hingedly connected to the receiver. Upon rotation of the first sidewall toward the floor, the end fits into the receiver and the plate locks the shaft to secure the first sidewall to the floor.

Recreational or utility vehicle door opening system
A recreational or utility vehicle system comprising a motorized member that allows for opening of a cargo door utilizing motorized movement to release the cargo door as well as a manual activation device that allows for opening of the cargo door in a manual and mechanical manner. In one arrangement, the recreational or utility vehicle system provides the convenience of opening the cargo door by a simple press of a button which activates the motorized movement. This arrangement also provides for opening of the cargo door when the motorized member fails or when power is unavailable.

Vehicle tailgate latch and tailgate system
A vehicle tailgate latch is provided. The latch having: a first portion; a second portion; a linkage for rotatably securing the first portion to the second portion, wherein the second portion is rotatably secured to the first portion for movement about a vertical axis with respect to the first portion; and a latching mechanism for releasing the second portion from the first portion.
Lock mechanism with state indication function
A lock mechanism with state indication function includes a housing, a cap and an indicator. The indicator includes active and passive indicators arranged circumferentially around a central axis. The active indicator includes a cam matching surface extending circumferentially around the central axis and a stopping end located at an end of the cam matching surface corresponding to the pivoting center of the active indicator. The radial convex portion slides along the cam matching surface to make the active indicator rotate away from the central axis. The radial convex portion pushes the stopping end of the active indicator to make the active indicator rotate to a recovery position in which the indicating portion is covered by the cap. The passive indicator is in linkage connection with the active indicator through a gear transmission device, making the passive indicator be unfolded and folded synchronously along with the active indicator.
