Door locking assembly

A trailer locking assembly for locking a door of a trailer includes a lock rod pivoting about its axis of elongation within an upper and a lower bracket. A top and bottom cam attach to the top and bottom of the lock rod, respectively, and the top and bottom cams are configured to engage with corresponding keepers. A handle attached to the bottom cam beneath the door is configured to engage with a first latch assembly. The latch assembly may be configured to be released from an interior of the trailer. The first latch assembly may be attached to the lower bracket. The locking assembly may have a second latch assembly for holding the door open.

VEHICLE HOOD LATCH RELEASE SYSTEM AND METHOD

A hood latch release system includes, among other things, a release handle within a compartment covered by a hood, a hood latch assembly, and a release assembly having an electrically powered actuator and a mechanical actuator. The electrically powered actuator and the mechanical actuator are each configured to move one or more latches of the hood latch assembly from the latched position to the unlatched position. The system further includes a selector assembly. When a coupling member of the selector assembly is in a decoupling position, actuating the release handle causes the electrically powered actuator to unlatch the primary latch, the secondary latch, or both. When the coupling member of the selector assembly is in a coupling position, actuating the release handle causes the mechanical actuator to unlatch the primary latch, the secondary latch, or both.

FRUNK LATCH EMERGENCY OPENING STRUCTURE

A frunk latch emergency opening structure includes: a base configured to be fixed to a vehicle body; a pole provided on the base so as to be rotatable; a first cable connected to one end of the pole and configured such that tension is applied to the first cable by operating a vehicle inside handle; an emergency lever configured to be rotatable in an interlocking manner with the pole at one end of the emergency lever; a second cable connected to another end of the emergency lever and configured such that tension is applied to the second cable by operating a frunk inside handle; and a safety hook configured to be coupled to the base so as to be rotatable and to move due to operation of a front outside lever.

A latch for a vehicle hood and method of construction thereof is provided. The latch includes a housing; a ratchet pivotally mounted on the housing and a pawl pivotally mounted on the housing for pivoting between a first position in locked engagement with the ratchet and a second position out of locked engagement with the ratchet, with the pawl being biased into the first position. A pawl lever is pivotally mounted on the housing to engage the pawl and rotate the pawl from the first position to the second position. A double pull lever having an abutment surface is pivotally mounted on the pawl lever. A safety catch member is pivotally mounted on the housing, wherein the safety catch member selectively engages the abutment surface of the double pull lever to pivot the safety catch member from a locked first position to an unlocked second position.
