Console assembly for vehicle interior
A vehicle interior component may comprise a console assembly such as a floor console. The vehicle interior component may comprise a base providing a compartment; a cover movable between a closed position and open position; and a latch mechanism comprising an arm providing a latch feature to secure the cover to the base. The cover may comprise a latch feature; the arm may move between an elevated position for the latch feature of the arm to engage the latch feature of the cover to secure the cover to the base and a retracted position for the latch feature of the arm to disengage the latch feature of the cover to release the cover from the base. The vehicle interior component may comprise a mechanism to actuate movement of the cover to the open position. The latch mechanism may comprise a concealed magnetic latch.

CONSOLE ASSEMBLY FOR VEHICLE INTERIOR
A vehicle interior component may comprise a cover movable relative to a base between closed and open positions and a latch mechanism comprising a magnet configured for movement within the base for an engaged state and a disengaged state to release the cover from the closed position. The latch mechanism may maintain the disengaged state after the cover has been released from the base. The latch mechanism may comprise a magnet fixed to and concealed within the cover. The magnet of the base may be concealed within the base. The component may comprise an opening mechanism to actuate opening of the cover upon release of external force from the cover. The opening mechanism may move the latch mechanism within the base as the cover opens. The latch mechanism may extend through an opening in a sidewall of the base to engage the cover to secure the cover to the base.

Inertial latch
An inertial latch for a motor vehicle armrest is rotatably connected to a a bracket mounted to a support structure; an armrest interfacing component is disposed in an arcuate slot in the bracket, the slot extending from a first to a second end; a primary pawl rotatable from a first to a second position and limiting motion of the interfacing component in the slot; a secondary pawl rotatable from a third position to a fourth position and limiting motion of the primary pawl; a stop limits motion of the secondary pawl. The armrest articulates from a closed to an open position, the interfacing component moves through the entire slot when the primary pawl is in the first position, the interfacing component is held within a portion less than the entire slot when the primary pawl is in the second position, and the interfacing component is releasable from the portion.
Console box
A console box includes a box body with an opening, a pair of lids hinged to the box body to open and close the opening, and a lock mechanism configured to lock the lids in closed positions for closing the opening. The lock mechanism includes a first operation member configured to unlock the pair of lids separately from each other, and a second operation member configured to unlock the pair lids simultaneously with each other.

CLOSING DEVICE FOR A STORAGE COMPARTMENT, STORAGE COMPARTMENT FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE
A closing device for a storage compartment, in particular of a motor vehicle, having a closing element, slidable on a frame, for releasing or closing a frame opening of the frame, and a locking device for locking the closing element in at least one sliding position, wherein the locking device has at least one actuating handle, which is disposed on the closing element and projects from the closing element for gripping, and is coupled to the locking device for locking and releasing the locking. It is provided that the actuating handle is disposed displaceable on the closing element only in one plane, in particular parallel to the frame. The invention further relates to a storage compartment for a motor vehicle with such a closing device.
Armrest assembly with lid with latch release handle
An armrest assembly includes an armrest and a lid mounted on the armrest for relative rotational movement between a closed and open positions. The lid includes a handle cradle with handle guides on opposed sides and an intermediate inner guide. A handle is located in the handle cradle for relative movement between a latch position and a release position. The handle includes a latch. The latch retains the lid in the closed position when the handle is in the latch position. The handle includes a clip that engages a slot on the lid to retain the handle in the handle cradle. The handle also includes guide channels on opposed sides. The guide channels engage the handle guides. The handle includes an intermediate inner guide space. The inner guide space engages the inner guide. The armrest assembly also includes a spring that biases the handle into the latch position.
