Component for vehicle interior

A component for a vehicle interior is disclosed. The vehicle trim component may comprise a base comprising a compartment; a cover coupled to the base configured for movement relative to the compartment; a blocker coupled to the base configured to selectively engage with the cover; and a mechanism coupled to the blocker. The mechanism may be configured to move the blocker between a deployed position when the cover is not engaged with the blocker and a retracted position when the cover is engaged with the blocker.

OPERATION KNOB DEVICE FOR ARMREST

A operation knob device (10) for an armrest, that is configured to unlock the armrest and moves the armrest to a useable state, includes: a knob min body (30) having an operation knob (32); and an inner case (50) disposed around the knob main body (30) and configured to expose the operation knob (32) from a first opening (55). The inner case (50) includes a plurality of case protrusions (60) that protrude from a lower region (54a) of a lower edge of the first opening (55) toward the knob main body (30). The knob main body (30) includes a plurality of main body protrusions (40) that protrude toward the lower region (54a) of the inner case (50). The plurality of case protrusions (60) and the plurality of main body protrusions (40) are alternately disposed when viewed in a +Z direction.

ARMREST ASSEMBLY WITH LID WITH LATCH RELEASE HANDLE

An armrest assembly includes an armrest and a lid mounted on the armrest for relative rotational movement between a closed and open positions. The lid includes a handle cradle with handle guides on opposed sides and an intermediate inner guide. A handle is located in the handle cradle for relative movement between a latch position and a release position. The handle includes a latch. The latch retains the lid in the closed position when the handle is in the latch position. The handle includes a clip that engages a slot on the lid to retain the handle in the handle cradle. The handle also includes guide channels on opposed sides. The guide channels engage the handle guides. The handle includes an intermediate inner guide space. The inner guide space engages the inner guide. The armrest assembly also includes a spring that biases the handle into the latch position.

Double opening storage device

A double opening storage device includes: a box body; a lid member; an open/close mechanism for opening/closing the lid member around a first or second rotation shaft; and an actuation device provided at the lid member and receiving power from the box body side via a wiring member. The open/close mechanism has a hinge member having one end supported swingably around the first rotation shaft by the lid member and another end supported swingably around the second rotation shaft by the box body. In opening/closing the lid member around the first rotation shaft, the hinge member stays at the box body without following the lid member, and in opening/closing the lid member around the second rotation shaft, the hinge member swings from the box body, following the lid member. The wiring member has a hinge wiring portion extending and wired along the hinge member between the one and other ends.

Integrated center console latch opening close-out feature

A storage bin shell for a vehicle includes a main bin portion defining a storage bin having a latch opening and an integrated latch opening close-out member configured to provide a latch opening close-out. The integrated latch opening close-out member includes a hinged portion, which may be a living hinge. The hinged portion further includes a retainer for engaging a co-operating receiver defined in the main bin portion, whereby rotating or folding the hinged portion allows engaging the co-operating receiver by the retainer to define the latch opening close-out.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SECURING AN OBJECT IN A VEHICLE

Systems and methods for securing an object in a vehicle are provided. One embodiment of a method includes receiving data related to a biometric identifier of a user, receiving data related to a physiological state of the user, and determining whether the data associated with the physiological state of the user corresponds to an undesired physiological state. In response to receiving a correct biometric identifier and determining that the physiological state of the user does not correspond to the undesired physiological state, some embodiments may be configured to grant access to a storage area of a biometric lockbox. Similarly, in response to at least one of the following: not receiving the correct biometric identifier or determining that the physiological state of the user corresponds to the undesired physiological state of the user, some embodiments may be configured to deny access to the storage area of the biometric lockbox.
