An apparatus for providing improved security to an outward-swing door of a vehicle. The outward-swing door is on a sidewall of a main housing of the vehicle and has a pivotal end and a distal end opposite to the pivotal end. The outward-swing door is outwardly pivotable about the pivotal end thereof. The apparatus comprises a connecting structure for coupling to a bottom wall of the main housing, a base structure for coupling to the connecting structure so as to locate adjacent the outward-swing door and outside a swing path of the outward-swing door, and a blocking structure demountably coupled to the base structure, at least a portion thereof extendable into the swing path of the outward-swing door for restricting the outward-swing door to open to a predefined maximum extent.

Flush glass apparatus

A flush glass apparatus includes an operation glass including a glass portion and a frame and configured to open and close an opening of a fixed glass, an upper rail having an upper guide groove configured to slidably support an upper portion of the operation glass, a lower rail having a lower guide groove configured to slidably support a lower portion of the operation glass, a locking device including an upper locking pin and a lower locking pin installed on upper and lower sides of the frame, respectively, to enter the upper and lower guide grooves, respectively, and lock or unlock the operation glass, and upper and lower removal guide members installed on the upper rail and the lower rail, respectively, and configured to guide the upper and lower locking pins to be removed from the upper and lower guide grooves by entering the upper or lower guide grooves.

Door handle assembly for vehicle compartment

A handle assembly is provided for use on storage compartment doors of a vehicle. The assembly includes inner and outer housings residing on opposite sides of the door. The handle assembly plunger resides on the inside of the door, rather than between the outside and inside door skins. An exterior handle can be grasped from either side for moving the plunger from an extended latched position to a retracted unlatched position for opening the door. An interior egress handle is provided to open the door from inside the compartment, as a safety feature. A key cylinder on the outer housing allows the handle assembly to be locked to preclude accidental or unauthorized opening of the door. The handle assembly allows the door to be opened by electric remote power and to be closed by slam action.

A latch assembly comprises an outside housing, a door latch, an external lever handle, a plunger, a resilient member, and a handle cam. The handle cam comprises a cam surface juxtaposed against and in sliding relation with a plunger cam surface. The plunger is maintained in the latched position when the external lever handle is in the retracted position by the resilient member, whereby an entry door cannot be unintentionally shifted from the closed position, and the plunger is displaced from the latched position to the unlatched position when the external lever handle is displaced from the retracted position to the extended position by the cam surface of the handle cam bearing against the plunger cam surface, whereby the entry door is free to be shifted from the closed position to the open position.
