MOTION TRANSFORMATION
20220299093 · 2022-09-22 ·

For motion transformation an apparatus includes a key and a plunger. The key moves along a first axis in a linear key displacement direction and along the first axis in a linear key return direction that is opposite the key displacement direction. The key includes a motivating arm on a distal end. The motivating arm includes a displacement cam surface disposed on a ventral side of the motivating arm and a return cam surface disposed on a dorsal side of the motivating arm. The plunger moves along a second axis. The plunger includes a displacement interface that is motivated by the displacement cam surface in response to the key moving in the key displacement direction to motivate the plunger in a plunger displacement direction. The plunger further includes a return interface.

Pin latch with adjustable pre-load
11408210 · 2022-08-09 · ·

A latch mechanism includes a handle connected to a pin by a linkage. The linkage converts rotation of the handle relative to a frame into axial movement of the pin between extended and retracted positions relative to the frame. The pin engages with a pre-load adjustment mechanism in the extended position to apply a pre-load through the linkage that biases the pin toward the extended position. The pre-load adjustment mechanism is adjustable to set the pre-load through the linkage to a predetermined value as selected by a user.

Supplemental door lock and alert system

An alert system configured to monitor a status of one or more supplemental door locks comprises a switch assembly and an alarm. The switch assembly is configured to detect whether one supplemental door lock is unlocked or locked and includes a switch, an indicator, and a communication element. The switch is to be coupled to a locking component of the supplemental door lock. The switch is configured to sense a position of the locking component and generate an electronic signal or data. The indicator is configured to provide a first indication of a status of the supplemental door lock. The communication element is configured to receive the electronic signal or data from the switch and generate a wireless signal that corresponds to the electronic signal or data. The alarm is configured to generate an audible or visible alarm when the switch assembly detects that the supplemental door lock is locked.

Bar lock assembly
11280122 · 2022-03-22 · ·

A bar lock assembly including a lock rod having first and second lock rod portions and defines a rotational axis. A second lock rod portion section telescopically extends from the first lock rod portion when the bar lock assembly is in a first condition. The second lock rod portion is substantially retracted within the first lock rod portion when the bar lock assembly is in a second condition. An elongated handle having opposed ends extends from the first lock rod portion. One handle end is pivotally connected to the first lock rod about a fixed axis. Linkage between the handle and the second lock rod portion telescopically moves the second lock rod portion. This lock bar assembly is configured such that an angle of about 45° is established between the handle and a generally horizontal plane when in the first position to enhance ergonomic operation of the bar lock assembly.

Aircraft privacy door and door frame assembly

A privacy door assembly for installation in an aircraft relative to a flight deck door of the aircraft includes a door frame having a first post and a second post, where the second post comprises a latch recess. The privacy door comprises a latch positioned on an edge of the privacy door and arranged to engage the latch recess when the privacy door is in a closed position within the door frame. An access door is positioned in the privacy door, where the access door is rotatable from a closed position to an open position in a forward direction. A first mechanical door handle system including a mechanical combination lock is positioned on an aft side of the privacy door and coupled to the latch, and a second mechanical door handle system is positioned on a forward side of the privacy door and coupled to the latch.
