Adjustable door lock and associated method
An adjustable door lock may include a catch plate adapted to be secured adjacent to the door. A plurality of catch brackets may be connected to the catch plate. A catch may be adjustably connected to the catch plate and interfitted through the catch brackets. Such a catch preferably has a linear channel formed therein. A door plate may be disposed adjacent to the catch plate and adapted to be secured to the door. A locking bolt may further be housed within the door plate and may be linearly reciprocated along a first linear path passing through the door plate and the linear channel. In this way, the catch may be automatically adjusted along a second linear path orthogonally registered relative to the first linear path such that the linear channel automatically becomes axially aligned with the locking bolt as the locking bolt ingresses and egresses the catch.
LATCH MECHANISM OF OPENING/CLOSING DOOR AND DEVICE INCLUDING OPENING/CLOSING DOOR USING LATCH MECHANISM
A latch mechanism of an opening/closing door, which is used in a device including an opening/closing door that opens/closes an opening of a device body by using the opening/closing door, restrains the opening/closing door at a closing position, and releases a restrained state when the opening/closing door is opened, the latch mechanism includes an elastic component provided in one of the opening/closing door and the device body facing the opening, having a spring member expanding/contracting to be elastically deformable in one predetermined direction, and holding both end positions of the spring member to be floatable via a holder, and a latch component provided in the other of the opening/closing door and the device body, coming into contact with the holder of the elastic component when the opening/closing door closes the opening, having a latch member restraining the elastic component in a state where the spring member is elastically deformed from an initial state, and moving the holder against a biasing force of the spring member to release the restrained state between the elastic component and the latch member when the opening/closing door is opened from the closing position.

Hands free gate
The present gate includes a barrier frame and a gate in the barrier frame. The gate is opened by inserting a foot into a foot opening in the gate, which action compresses springs disposed about pivot pins between the gate and the barrier frame and draws an extended latch downwardly and out of a latch receiver that is bottomless, which action unlatches and frees the gate from the barrier frame such that the gate can be swung open. Downward travel of the gate is minimized until a foot pushes a pivoting stop out of the way.

Luggage with case lock for securing front cover
A luggage includes a case member having an opening; a front cover connected to the case member to open and close the opening of the case member; a lock member connected to the case member, wherein the lock member has a hook portion, and the hook portion has a bore; a lock base connected to the front cover; a latch movably connected to the lock base; a spring having opposite ends urging the latch and the lock base; and a lever member pivoted lock base and associated with the latch. The latch engages the bore of the hook portion to lock the front cover with the case member, and the lever is turned to move the latch and disengage the latch with the bore of the hook portion of the lock member to unlock the front cover with the case member.

ANIMAL CRATE WITH SWING OR DROP DOOR ASSEMBLY
A door assembly includes a frame having interconnected wires that define an opening for an animal to pass therethrough, and a door having interconnected wires and being coupled to the frame. A latch assembly has a handle structure and a pin. The handle structure is pivotable with respect to one of the door and the frame, and the pin is movable axially with respect to one of the door and the frame. A first wire of the plurality of wires of the frame forms a key hole assembly. The key hole assembly defines an aperture for receiving the pin when the door is in a latched position with respect to the frame. A tab assembly is formed by at least one wire of the door and is disposable behind at least one of the plurality of wires of the frame in the closed position.

Sash window restrictor
A sash window restrictor (20) has a housing (22) which is to be let into a vertical frame member (10) of one sash (normally the upper, outer sash) of a window, at a position, say, 10 cm above the top rail of the lower sash when the windows are closed. A tab (24) is mounted in the housing and can be retracted into the housing or extended from the housing. A mechanism acts between the tab and the housing and allows the tab to be pressed into the housing and held in the housing for a period of time before the tab is released to allow the tab to extend. With the tab extended, the lower sash (12) can be lifted until it reaches the tab (24) but no further, so that a 10 cm gap will be opened at the bottom of the window.
