LIFT GLIDE DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY & LIFT GLIDE WINDOW LOCK ASSEMBLY & DUAL LIFT GLIDE DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY & DUAL LIFT GLIDE WINDOW LOCK ASSEMBLY
Hardware for a lift glide door assembly and lift glide window assembly provides ease of opening with an operational opening assist that urges the door or window to an open position on operation of an opening handle by use of a cable drive system. A lock mechanism actuates a lock pin, blocks opening gear mechanisms from operating and extends a security bolt for locking. A guide blade is provided for assisting the door during opening or closing operations.
Slot-based fenestration unit monitoring apparatus and methods
Fenestration unit monitoring apparatus configured to retrofit an existing fenestration unit to incorporate components that are capable of monitoring the locked or unlocked status of the existing lock assembly and/or the panel position status of a movable panel of the fenestration unit. The fenestration unit monitoring apparatus described herein may provide a relatively easy and aesthetically pleasing option to monitor the lock status and/or panel status of an existing fenestration unit with an existing lock assembly already located thereon. The fenestration unit monitoring apparatus may be inserted into an existing lock assembly slot in a frame member of an existing fenestration unit that already contains a lock assembly without requiring removal of the lock assembly from the lock assembly slot.
Window operator
An operator for a window comprising a base designed to be secured to a window sash, an arm having first and second ends with the first end being secured to the base and a first end of the arm having a worm wheel formed thereon, a shaft having a worm operatively connected to the worm wheel, a handle secured to the shaft, a locking mechanism comprising a multipoint tie bar, and an actuator connected to a rack and pinion gear arrangement to move the multipoint tie bar between open and locked positions. The arrangement provides for a compact efficient design which includes a locking mechanism and an opening mechanism located at the same point.
Rack-and-pinion mounting device for vehicle-mounted storage containers and accessories
Disclosed are rack-and-pinion mounting devices, methods for making and methods for using such devices, and motor vehicles with storage containers secured by rack-and-pinion mounting devices. A mounting device is disclosed for attaching an accessory to a surface. The mounting device includes a latch housing that mounts to the accessory (or surface). A bolt latch, which is slidably coupled to the housing, includes a linear gear bar and locking pins. These locking pins engage tie-down loops attached to the surface (or accessory). A pinion gear is rotatably coupled to the housing and intermeshed with the gear bar. Spinning the pinion gear in one direction slides the bolt latch to disengage the locking pins from the loops and detach the accessory from the surface. Spinning the pinion gear in the opposite direction slides the bolt latch to engage the locking pins with the loops and attach the accessory to the surface.
CONTAINER DEVICE FOR COLLECTING, STORING AND PROCESSING BLOOD OR A BLOOD COMPOUND
Container device (1) for collecting, storing and processing blood or a blood compound, which comprises a tube (10) with a connector (23) on its distal end (13), a piston set (30, 50) that can move through an interior space (14) of the tube (10), and a valve set (70, 90) preventing the flow of fluid through the distal opening (16) of the tube (10). The valve set (70, 90) is operable to allow the flow of the fluid through the distal opening (16). The device (1) enables vacuum conditions to be created in the tube (10) when it is going to be used, and enables the contents of the tube (10) to be extracted by operating the valve set (70, 90) without the need to use a needle.
Actuating assembly for a latching system
An actuating assembly of a locking system (200) to operate a displaceable component of a latching system (210), includes: (i) a first member (24) which is connected or connectable to the displaceable component of the latching system (210); (ii) a second member (26), the first and second members (24, 26) being disconnectably connectable to each other, with the first and second members (24, 26) being in an inoperative configuration when they are disconnected from each other such that the second member (26) is displaceable independently of the first member (24), and the first and second members (24, 26) being in an operative configuration when they are connected to each other such that displacement of the second member (26) causes the first member (24) to be displaced; (iii) a first actuating sub-assembly (46) including a first key receiver (230) for receiving a non-mechanical first key in the form of a predetermined electromagnetic signal transmitted via a cellular telecommunications network from the communications facility (224) of a monitoring facility (227) to an electronic controller (228); (iv) a second actuating sub-assembly (52) which is operable by a second key (226), the second actuating sub-assembly (52) being operably connected to the second member (26) and being configured, when actuated by the second key (226), to cause the second member (26) to be displaced, thereby to cause the first member (24) to be displaced when the first and second members (24, 26) are in their operative configuration; and (v) a timer for determining the time from receipt of a first key by the first actuating sub-assembly (46), wherein the first actuating subassembly (46) is configured, upon: (i) receipt of the first key, to cause the first and second members (24, 26) to assume their operative configuration; and (ii) elapse of a preset time stored in a storage means (236) measured by the timer from receipt of a first key by the first actuating sub-assembly (46), to cause the first and second members (24, 26) to assume their inoperative configuration.

Latching Arrangement
Embodiments of the invention provide a latching arrangement for an enclosure with an enclosure door and an enclosure body. First and second latch members are secured at first and second latch-member locations, respectively, relative to the enclosure door. First and second catch members are secured at first and second catch-member locations relative to the enclosure body. When a handle of the door is moved from a first handle orientation towards a second handle orientation, the first latch member engages the first catch member before the second latch member engages the second catch member.
