CONCEALED HINGE ASSEMBLY FOR A DOOR
20170321462 · 2017-11-09 ·

The invention relates to a concealed pivot hinge assembly [10] suitable for hingedly mounting a door [12] to a frame, particularly, although not exclusively, for connecting doors of storage, shipping and cargo containers, such as those which may be used on ships, rail lines and trucks, to a container in order to protect against theft. The concealed pivot hinge assembly [10] is characterised therein that it comprises a continuous, elongate hinge extending between and pivotably secured at two opposing ends thereof to the frame such that the hinge assembly [10] also constitutes a door post about which the door [12] is swiveled. The hinge assembly [10] comprises an internal axle shaft [18] which is secured at two opposing ends thereof to the frame; and an external load-bearing shaft [20] which extends coaxially with the internal shaft [18] and is pivotally secured at two opposing ends thereof to the frame such that the external shaft [20] is pivotable relative to the internal shaft [18], the arrangement being such that the door [12] is secured to the external shaft [20] so that pivoting of the external shaft [20] swivels the door [12] between a closed and an open position. The invention extends to a door [12] and a container [44] including such a concealed hinge assembly [10]. The invention also includes a remotely operable locking mechanism [56] for use in connection with such doors [12].

Adjustable dead-latching bolt mechanisms

Latch mechanisms adapted to prevent unauthorized displacement of a latch bolt from an extended, locked position to a retracted, unlocked position. The latch mechanisms prevent the failure of a latch bolt of one latch mechanism to return to an extended lock position from interfering with the ability of a latch bolt of an inter-related latch mechanism from being able to return to an extended, locked position. Further embodiments provide a mounting bracket mounted to a door to allow the associated latch mechanism to be indirectly secured to the door. Additionally, the mounting bracket may have a plurality of mounting orifices that allow the mounting bracket to be used with a wide range of latch mechanisms, as well as provide adjustable attachment of the latch mechanism to the mounting bracket.

MAGNETIC DUAL AXIS HINGE SYSTEM AND METHOD THEREFOR

A latch to secure an access panel at an enclosure may include a shuttle component including a latch pin. The latch pin is configured to engage with a corresponding receptacle at the enclosure. A spring retracts the latch pin to within the access panel when the access panel is not positioned for installation at the enclosure, and permits the latch pin to protrude from the access panel to mate with the receptacle in response to magnetic attraction by a magnet positioned within the receptacle when the access panel is positioned for installation at the enclosure. The magnetic attraction of the magnet to the latch pin overcomes the force of the spring to retract the latch pin.

SELF-LOCKING LOCK DEVICE WITH MULTIPOINT LOCK DRIVE

A self-locking lock device has a main latch element which automatically moves into a locking position when the activation is on the closing plate side. The main latch element comprises a drive element for a multipoint lock, which drives at least two additional latch elements of at least one additional latch device at a spatial distance from the main latch element. The drive element is connected to a drive device for at least one additional latch element. The drive device comprises a first drive part and a second drive part. The drive element interacts with the first drive part for a first additional latch element and with the second drive part for a second additional latch element. A movement of the first drive part and of the second drive part is synchronized with a movement of the main latch element.

LOCKING SYSTEM FOR A SECURE SAFE

A locking system for securing, within a rectangular frame aperture of a safe, a hinged door having a perimeter and an external side and an internal side and occupying a first vertical plane, the door being configured for suspension on hinges. The locking system comprises a key axle, a disc, a plate. When the key axle is rotated the disc is caused to rotate and the plate slides horizontally to extend a distal end of the plate towards beyond the door perimeter.

Safes and related locking assemblies, mechanisms, and enclosures. In some embodiments, the locking mechanism may comprise one or more fixed locking members, such as studs, mounted on or otherwise coupled to the body of the safe or other enclosure, such as a box, building, vehicle, trailer or the like. In some embodiments, the locking members may be mounted to the door/lid frame of the enclosure. Additional moveable locking members may be positioned on and/or moveably coupled with the safe door, which may allow the moveable locking members to engage the fixed locking members on the door frame to lock the door/lid in place.

Rear slider window assembly

A vehicular rear slider window assembly includes a movable window panel that is movable along upper and lower rails of a fixed window panel. A first heater grid is disposed at a first fixed panel, a second heater grid is disposed at a second fixed panel, and a third heater grid disposed at the movable window panel. A jumper electrical connector electrically connects between the first and second fixed panels, and a flexible electrical connector electrically connects between the first or second fixed panel and the movable window panel. The first fixed panel has positive and negative terminals configured to electrically connect to at least one electrical connector of a vehicle wire harness when the vehicular rear slider window assembly is installed at a vehicle. When the positive and negative terminals are electrically powered, electrical current may flow in a single direction across the first and second heater grids.

ROTARY ACTUATED SLAM LATCH SYSTEM

Rotary actuated latch systems with linearly acting latch rods, and methods of assembling rotary actuated latch systems with linearly acting rods are disclosed. In some aspects, the rotary actuated latch systems are “self-engaging” and comprise a handle having two guides, the handle operably attached to a spring, two latch rods comprising clevises operably attached to the two guides, and at least two strike plates for actuating the latching system without additional user input. The spring applies equal tension to the two linearly acting latch rods, allowing for smooth operation of the latching system without binding while providing for a compact design that eliminates stresses imposed by conventional latch systems where the latch rods rotate off-axis. In some embodiments, the rotary actuated latch system may be assembled as a complete unit, prior to installation on the mechanism to be latched.
