Actuator for a vehicle compartment
A vehicle includes a compartment mounted to a frame of the vehicle. The compartment includes a box coupled to a vehicle in a fixed position relative to the vehicle and a latch system coupled to the glove to allow a user access to the box. The latch system includes a shape-memory alloy wire guided by a pulley during actuation of the latch system.
Door barricade system
A compact door barricade apparatus for use on doors is described. The apparatus is equipped with a protective inner case, outer case, door mount, an upper barricade, a lower barricade, barricade pivot links, handles, and barricade latches. Screws or lag bolts are used to mount the barricade latches to the door frame. The door mount connects the apparatus to the door. The barricade pivot links effectively link the movement of the upper barricade to that of the lower barricade. The movement of the handle disposed on the apparatus facilitates the synchronous movement of the upper and lower barricades across the width of the door and door frame, effectively securing individuals within a room.
Door lock mechanism
A door lock mechanism that rotates a cam mechanism to lock or unlock an enclosure. The mechanism includes a bias member that is coupled to the cam mechanism with a cam pin, where the cam pin is located on one side of the centerline of the lock in the locked state, and on the other side of the centerline of the lock in the unlocked state, to bias the cam mechanism into either the locked or unlocked state. Further disclosed are one or more stop mechanisms that prevent the cam mechanism from over-rotating past the locked or unlocked position. The bias member can further absorb impact from the lock rods of the door lock mechanism contacting the stop mechanisms.
Gate
A gate is provided and includes a gate body, a hinge assembly attached to a first side of the gate body, and a support bracket. The hinge assembly includes a pin assembly and an actuating assembly capable of moving a pin of the pin assembly between a retracted position and an extended position. The support bracket engages the pin in the extended position and is disengaged from the pin in the retracted position. The gate body has an axis of rotation extending through the pin when the pin engages the support bracket and is freely movable with respect to the support bracket when the pin is disengaged from the support bracket.
Door-locking system
A door-locking mechanism is for locking a door of a cabinet with respect to a main body of the cabinet. The door-locking mechanism includes a supporting component being operatively mountable onto the door, a driving component being operatively moveable with respect to the supporting component between at least first and second configurations, and at least one transmission component being operatively moveable with respect to the supporting component between drawn-in and drawn-out configurations. The door-locking mechanism also includes at least one locking rod being operatively connectable to the at least one transmission component and being movable between disengaged and engaged configurations with respect to a corresponding catch-rod of the cabinet, in response to the at least one transmission component being operated between the drawn-in and drawn-out configurations respectively, via an operation of the driving component from the first to the second configuration.
Lock assembly with locking handle
A lock assembly has an actuator that is moveable between first and second positions and a locking structure that is coupled to the actuator. The locking structure is positioned to engage a portion of a lock when the actuator is in the first position to prevent movement of the actuator to the second position. A latch assembly is preferably coupled to the actuator and includes a latch that is moveable between engaged and disengaged positions. Moving the actuator from the first position to the second position moves the latch to the engaged position, and moving the actuator from the first position to a third position moves the latch to a disengaged position.
Animal resistant latching system
An animal-resistant latching system for inhibiting animals from accessing food and food containing refuse within containers is disclosed. The device is composed of an access panel containing an opening to which is secured at least one latching members, a cam assembly, a cover, and a bracket. The latching members are positioned so as to inhibit access to the container when the member is in the latched position and allow access to the container when the member is in the unlatched position. The cam assembly communicates with the latching members so as to move the members between the latched and unlatched positions. The cover and bracket are dimensioned and positioned on the access panel in a predetermined manner so as allow human hands access to the cam assembly and unlatch the container while simultaneously inhibiting such access by animals.
ADJUSTABLE DEAD-LATCHING BOLT MECHANISMS
Latch mechanisms adapted to prevent unauthorized displacement of a latch bolt from an extended, locked position to a retracted, unlocked position. The latch mechanisms prevent the failure of a latch bolt of one latch mechanism to return to an extended lock position from interfering with the ability of a latch bolt of an inter-related latch mechanism from being able to return to an extended, locked position. Further embodiments provide a mounting bracket mounted to a door to allow the associated latch mechanism to be indirectly secured to the door. Additionally, the mounting bracket may have a plurality of mounting orifices that allow the mounting bracket to be used with a wide range of latch mechanisms, as well as provide adjustable attachment of the latch mechanism to the mounting bracket.
Multifunction Securing Mechanism for Door
A multifunction securing mechanism for a compartment closable by a door and includes a key cylinder, a latching assembly which may be a two-point latching assembly movable between a latching and an unlatching position, a rotatable member configured for a lazy-cam function connecting the key cylinder and latching assembly, at least one catch located on a surface adjacent the outside of the door, and a bar pivotally mounted to the outside of the door and movable between a first closed position and a second opened position. A first release mechanism is located on an interior side of the door for changing a positon of the latching assembly, and a second release mechanism is located on the interior side of the door for changing a position of the bar, both for allowing a user to open a latched and secured door from the inside.
VEHICLE STORAGE COMPARTMENT ARRANGEMENT
The present invention relates to a vehicle storage compartment arrangement (100), comprising a storage compartment (102) and a cover arrangement (104), said cover arrangement being connected to the storage compartment (102) and slidably movable along a first geometric axis (202) between an opened position and a closed position, wherein said cover arrangement comprises a locking mechanism (106, 406, 506) for connecting the cover arrangement to the storage compartment, said locking mechanism comprising a first (108) and a second (110) locking pin movable along a second geometric axis (204), said first and second geometric axis being substantially perpendicular to each other, wherein the first and second locking pins are controllable between a first state in which the cover arrangement is locked to the storage compartment, and a second state in which the cover arrangement is unlocked from the storage compartment, wherein the cover arrangement further comprises an actuation handle (112) connected to the first and second locking pins by means of at least one pre-tensioned spring (114, 116, 514), wherein said first and second locking pins are arranged in said second state when said actuation handle is moved along said second geometric axis.
