Lignocellulosic conversion processes and products
Processes for converting lignocellulose to feedstock and downstream products are disclosed. The processes may include acid treatment of lignocellulose to produce a fermentation feedstock. In various instances, the processes include recovery or recycling of acid, such as recovery of hydrochloric acid from concentrated and/or dilute streams. Downstream products may include acrylic acid-based products such as diapers, paper and paper-based products, ethanol, biofuels such as biodiesel and fuel additives, and detergents.
AN ACTIVATABLE WOUND DRESSING
The invention relates to a wound dressing or other wound contact medium containing an acetyl donor compound, and being free from peroxide compounds which is activatable by a means of applying hydrogen peroxide. The wound dressing or other wound contact medium is suitable for use in the prevention and/or treatment of wound infection in a patient comprising applying the wound dressing or other wound contact medium to a wound of the patient, and subjecting the wound dressing or other wound contact medium to a means of applying hydrogen peroxide so that the acetyl donor compound of the wound dressing or other wound contact medium is activated by the hydrogen peroxide to produce peracetic acid.
Composition for Wet Indicator and Wet Indicator
To provide a composition for wet indicator excellent in discoloration performance. What is disclosed is a composition for wet indicator comprising an oily gel and a wet-sensitive colorant composition.
Composition for wet indicator
To provide a composition for wet indicator which is excellent in discoloration performance and is suppressed in odor. What is disclosed is a composition for wet indicator comprising: a hydrocarbon oil (A), at least one selected from saturated fatty acids having 16 or more carbon atoms and derivatives thereof (B), and a wet-sensitive colorant composition (C), wherein the component (B) is contained in an amount of 2 to 85 parts by mass based on 100 parts by mass of the total amount of the components (A) to (C).
WATER ABSORBENT RESIN COMPOSITION, ABSORBENT, AND ABSORBENT ARTICLE
The present invention provides a water absorbent resin composition which suppresses acetaldehyde odor, while being suppressed in coloring with time. A water absorbent resin composition which contains a hydrazide compound carrier and a water absorbent resin, wherein: the degree of yellowing is 10 or less if 2.0 g of this water absorbent resin composition is held at a temperature of 70° C. at a relative humidity of 90% for 7 days; and if 10.0 g of this water absorbent resin composition and 900 ml of a nitrogen gas having an acetaldehyde concentration of 20 ppm are sealed in a hermetically sealed bag having a volumetric capacity of 2 liters, the acetaldehyde concentration of the gas in the hermetically sealed hag measured after a lapse of one hour is 15 ppm or less.

ABSORBENT ARTICLE
The present invention provides an absorbent article that suppresses acetaldehyde odor. This absorbent article is obtained by layering at least a liquid-permeable sheet, an absorbent body containing a water-absorbing resin, and a liquid-impermeable sheet in this order, wherein at least some of a hydrazide compound is present on the liquid-permeable sheet side with respect to the absorbent body.

Soft and Durable Nonwoven Web
A nonwoven web that contains a plurality of fibers formed from a polyolefm composition is provided. The polyolefin composition contains a rigid propylene polymer that has a relatively high melting temperature and modulus of elasticity, which can provide good strength and durability to the nonwoven web. The polyolefm composition also contains a ductile propylene polymer that has a relatively high melt flow index, which can help achieve relatively fine fibers that minimize the stiffness of the web. In addition to a rigid and ductile polymer, the polyolefin composition also contains a slip additive (e.g., fatty acid derivative). Among other things, such an additive can even further enhance the overall softness of the composition.
