A gate latch arranged to be mounted to either a gate or gate post and adapted to co-operate with a component mounted on the other of the gate or gate post to hold the gate closed, the gate latch comprising: a latch mechanism, and a housing containing at least a portion of the latch mechanism, the housing being configured to receive at least one latch accessory to modify the gate latch.

DOOR-OPERATING ASSEMBLY

A door-operating assembly has first and second subassemblies each having a housing, a magnet, a sleeve carrying the sleeve and rotatable in the respective housing about an axis, an actuator for rotating the first sleeve about the respective axis, and a rotation limiter restricting rotation of the respective sleeve and magnet. The magnets in a first position repel and push the respective sleeves axially away from each other such that the first rotation limiter is effective in a first direction on the first sleeve and the second rotation limiter is effective in a second rotation direction on the second sleeve. Conversely, the magnets in a second position attract and pull the sleeves axially toward each other such that the first rotation limiter is effective against the first rotation direction on the first sleeve and the second rotation limiter is effective against the second rotation direction on the second sleeve.

MAGNETIC LOCK

A magnetic lock has a magnetically operable latch having a magnetically repellable or attractable latch element. A magnetic operating device spaced from the latch has a first magnet with a respective magnetic direction and a second magnet with a respective magnetic direction. The first magnet is rotatable between a latched position with its magnetic direction generally parallel to and pointing oppositely to the magnetic direction of the second magnet for contracting a magnetic field formed by the first and second magnets, and a release position generally parallel to and with its magnetic direction pointing the same as the second magnet for extending the magnetic field to and repelling or attracting the latch element.

MAGNETIC LOCKING DEVICE
20200208437 · 2020-07-02 · ·

A magnetic locking device has a magnetic latch device mounted in a door panel and an engagement device mounted in a door frame. The magnetic latch device has a magnetic latch assembly and a locking mechanism which are mounted in a housing of the magnetic latch device. The magnetic latch assembly has a latch bolt, restoring springs providing a restoring force to the latch bolt, and a magnetized element mounted in a latch portion of the latch bolt which is protrudable from the housing. The engagement device has a magnetic attracting assembly mounted in a latching seat of the engagement device. The magnetic attracting assembly can attract the magnetized element to move into the latching seat and to attach to the magnetic attracting assembly. The latch bolt will not bump to the engagement device while the door is closing.

Latch Arrangement

A latch arrangement for a sliding wing has a latching member that is movable by magnetic force from first position in which it is at least partially retracted within a latch housing, to a second position in which it extends at least partially out of the housing, to be received in a strike. The strike comprises a magnet or ferromagnetic arrangement to attract the latching member into a receiving and engaging formation of the strike when the sliding wing is located at or adjacent the strike.

Magnetic safety gate latch

A magnetic safety gate latch assembly and method of operation. The assembly includes: a pool latch tube, a user-actuated lid coupled to the top end of the pool latch tube; a rotatable shaft within the pool latch tube, an upper end of the shaft rigidly coupled to the lid, and a lower end of the shaft including a shaped base. The assembly further includes a magnet housing that at least partially encloses the shaped base and includes an aperture to cooperatively engage with the shaped base. The assembly further includes a bottom cover coupled to the lower end of the pool latch tube and enclosing the magnet housing, the bottom cover including an aperture facing a latch pin housing, the aperture positioned to expose a magnet. The assembly further includes a ferromagnetic latch pin and housing, and a magnetic latch pin guide slidably enclosing the latch pin.

IMPROVED DOOR LATCH

A magnetic lock is presented. The magnetic lock includes a base having a cylindrical opening disposed therein, and having a first magnetic element disposed in a bottom surface of the cylindrical opening of the base. The lock further includes an insert removably securable within the cylindrical opening of the base, the insert having a second magnetic element disposed along a bottom surface thereof. When the insert is inserted into the cylindrical opening of the base and the first magnetic element of the base is aligned with the second magnetic element of the insert the insert is locked within the cylindrical opening of the base. When the insert is rotated within the cylindrical opening of the base to a position wherein the first magnetic element and the second magnetic element are not aligned with each other the insert is removable from the cylindrical opening of the base.
