Autostereoscopic display device
An autostereoscopic display device comprises a display arrangement such as an emissive display arrangement or an reflective display arrangement, with an array of spaced pixels. A light guiding arrangement has an array of light guide columns, with one column over each display pixel or over a group (such as a column) of pixels. The light guide columns comprise aside wall which tapers outwardly to define a funnel shape with the pixel at the smaller base of the funnel. The funnel provides collimation to reduce cross talk in the display, which is particularly problematic for 3D autostereoscopic displays.
BIPHASIC SUPERABSORBENT MATERIAL AND DERIVED USES THEREOF
The present invention relates to a biphasic superabsorbent and partially biodegradable material comprising a biodegradable and/or compostable polymeric phase and a non-biodegradable superabsorbent cross-linked polymer phase. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a process for the production of said superabsorbent material and the use thereof to contain and/or absorb and/or separate liquids, in particular aqueous liquids, preferably contaminated ones, and/or biological fluids.
FILM FOR ORAL HEMOSTASIS AND WOUND PROTECTION
The present disclosure relates to a film for oral hemostasis and wound protection and, more particularly, to a film for oral hemostasis and wound protection which, being attached to a wound area in an oral cavity, delays or prevents microbleeds and controls medicinal component release. The film provided by the present disclosure is capable of including a polyol, an alcohol and a biodegradable polymer in the state of partial swelling, thereby locally absorbing blood or pus or arresting hemorrhage. Moreover, due to its high elongation ratio, the film provided by the present disclosure is capable of maintaining its adhesive force even when having blood, saliva and pus absorbed inside an oral cavity and conveniently deforming according to the shape of a seriously corrugated local area, which causes only slight foreign body sensation even after a long period of time of attachment on to the local area. In addition, the film provided by the present disclosure includes a disintegrant which is dissolved and released by reacting with blood to form microchannels that act as paths for drug release and is capable of adjusting the amount and the size of the microchannels, thereby controlling the amount of drug release. The present disclosure doesn't require a patient to detach the film attached inside an oral cavity by hand because the adhesive layer and the backing layer dissolve entirely over time.

Process for producing water-absorbent polymer particles by polymerizing droplets of a monomer solution
The present invention relates to a process for producing water-absorbent polymer particles by polymerizing droplets of a monomer solution comprising less than 0.3% by weight of persulfate and at least 0.05% by weight of azo initiator and thermal aftertreatment of the formed polymer particles at less than 100° C. in a fluidized bed for 60 to 300 minutes.

Wearable absorbent article with robust feeling waistband structure
A disposable diaper having front and rear augmented waistband zones having a specified size and stiffness is disclosed. For relatively thinner, less bulky diapers of currently marketed designs, providing augmented waistband zones is believed to reduce mental and physical effort for the caregiver in application of the diaper. The augmented waistband zones provide a robust-feeling structure proximate the waist edges, which the caregiver may grasp at front and rear to adjust the diaper on the wearer. Caregiver perception of a need to reach deeper into the diaper structure to grasp it at a thicker area to tug at it is believed to be reduced.

MATERIAL TO FORM A HYDROGEL
A soft film, a sponge, or a sheet in the dried state is provided, which is capable of forming a hydrogel absorbing water or blood. The film is obtainable by preparing a film-state material in the dried state from either a solution of poly(acrylic acid) or a solution of polyvinylpyrrolidone, and bringing the film-state material into contact with the other remaining solution, and then drying or freeze-drying it.
HIGH COHESIVE STRENGTH POLYOLEFIN CONSTRUCTION ADHESIVE
The invention includes a hot melt adhesive composition based on polyolefin polymers that can be used for construction applications in a disposable absorbent article. The olefin based hot melt adhesive composition has surprisingly good cohesive strength and a low odor.
