The door bracing device further includes a bolt receiver formed to receive a bolt of a door, the bolt receiver positioned such that the bolt of the door is able to extend through the bolt receiver. The door bracing device further includes a strike plate engagement structure positioned on a second end of the door bracing device, configured to extend outward from the base to be inserted into a strike plate of a door jamb of a door.

Lock Adapter

A lock adapter includes a first adapter arm and a second adapter arm. The first adapter arm has a first end which mating with a staple of a latch assembly, which, with a corresponding hasp, controls access to a structure. The first adapter arm also has second end configured for mating with the shackle of the lock. The second adapter arm also has a first end and a second end. The first end of the second adapter arm is configured for mating with the first end of the first adapter arm after the first end of the first adapter arm mates with the latch. The second end of the second adapter arm is configured for mating with the shackle of the lock. Upon the lock adapter mating with the staple and with the shackle of the lock, access to the structure via the latch assembly is inhibited.

DEFENSE MOBILE DEVICE HAVING A RELEASE SYSTEM FOR SHELTER-IN-PLACE SITUATIONS
20220018170 · 2022-01-20 ·

A defense mobile device for securing a door during shelter-in-place situations. The device includes wheels rendering it mobile and stops that, when activated, hold the device stationary. A panel has a ballistic core that resists bullets, a front face, an opening, and a cover positioned over the opening to overlay and enclose a door knob protruding through the opening. The front face forms, or has affixed to it, a writing surface. The panel pivots between a plurality of angled positions to facilitate writing and an upright position flat against the door. A locking rod, rotatably connected to the panel, pushes and pulls the panel between its angled positions and its upright position. A portal defined by a ballistic door viewer or viewport is located in the panel and permits viewing or observing through the panel. A release system is configured to deactivate the stop and enable the device to move.

Security Tube Assembly

A security tube assembly for securing a door in a closed position includes a mounting plate that is mountable to a wall at a point located adjacent to a door in the wall. A bracket is mountable to the wall on an opposite side of the door with respect to the mounting plate. A tube is pivotally coupled to the mounting plate. The tube is positionable in first position having the tube extending downwardly alongside the door to facilitate the door to be opened or closed. Conversely, the tube is positionable in a second position having the tube extending across the door and having the tube resting in the bracket to inhibit the door from opening.

A door locking device includes a mounting plate configured to be mounted to the door; a reinforcement gusset extending outward from the mounting plate, the reinforcement gusset defining an extension portion; and a wall engagement member adjustably affixed to the extension portion of the reinforcement gusset and laterally offset from the mounting plate; wherein the wall engagement member is movable relative to the extension portion in a direction substantially perpendicular to the mounting plate, and wherein the extension portion is configured to confront a wall adjacent to the door.

OUTWARD SWINGING DOOR BARRICADE

The emergency egress apparatus includes a protuberance mated to a first portion of the door barricade and a keeper mated to a second portion of the door barricade. A retainer is selectively disposed between one of two positions. A first position defines the placement of the retainer that establishes an interference fit between the protuberance and the keeper. A second position defines the placement of the retainer such that it is not in contact with the protuberance or the keeper. The first position secures the first portion of the door barricaded with respect to the second portion of the door barricade, and the second position decouples the first portion of the door barricade with respect to the second portion of the door barricade
