A SUPPORT FOR A GUDGEON
This invention relates to a support for a gudgeon. It is known to hang gates on posts by way of gudgeons. Over time the load and movement of the gate may cause the gudgeon to loosen. In this regard the hole that the gudgeon is screwed into becomes ‘over-sized’ due to wear and tear. This may necessitate replacing the gudgeon, or screwing it into another part of the post. It is an object of a preferred embodiment of the invention to address this problem. In this regard there is a support having a hub and a series of spikes. The gudgeon passes through the hub and the spikes are imbedded in a post. The arrangement is such that the support 1 takes up at least some tipping force on the gudgeon.
Hinge with Set Screws
A hinge with set screws is implemented which enables adjustments for a door without removing the hinge and installing a shim. The hinge's leafs are manufactured with one or more threaded holes that receive corresponding set, or adjustment, screws. The set screws enable adjustment of the hinge, when necessary. For example, the primary screws which connect the hinge to the door and frame may first be loosened to enable the user to utilize the set screws to adjust the door. The set screws can be loosened or tightened relative to the door or door framedepending on which leaf is being adjustedto adjust and provide the proper reveal between the door and the jamb. The set screws, therefore, enable door alignment without the use of a shim or cardboard. The use of the set screws can save valuable time in the construction industry in both commercial and residential settings.
Device Cam-Controlled Adjustment
The description relates to devices and device adjustment. One example can include a first portion that defines a cam pivot. The example can also include a height adjuster comprising a wedge and a positioning loop positioned over the cam pivot, such that rotation of a cam on the cam pivot to contact one cam follower of the positioning loop that moves the wedge toward another component or to contact an opposite cam follower of the positioning loop that moves the wedge away from the another component.
Hinge and method for adjusting a hinge
In embodiments, a hinge includes a first hinge element for arrangement on a closing element and a second hinge element for arrangement on a frame, the first and the second hinge elements being connected to each other to pivot about a hinge axis, and at least one actuating element for adjusting the spacing of the hinge axis relative to at least one of the first and the second hinge elements.
MOUNTING POSITION ADJUSTMENT MECHANISM FOR ROTATING DOOR, APPARATUS WITH ROTATING DOOR, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A mounting position adjustment mechanism for a rotating door that is mounted to be rotatable around a shaft includes a base member, a support member, an adjuster, and a fixing member. The base member is configured to be fixed to a door body of the rotating door. The support member is coupled to the base member at one end side of the shaft to be movable along a door surface of the rotation door in a direction orthogonal to the shaft. The adjuster is configured to adjust a position of the support member with respect to the base member in the direction orthogonal to the shaft. The fixing member is configured to fix the support member to the base member at two or more positions on the one end side of the shaft.
Cover apparatus for truck cargo box
The present invention relates to a cover apparatus for a truck cargo box, and more specifically to a cover apparatus for a truck cargo box, which enables stable opening and closing operations even when deformation occurs due to the deflection or warping of a truck cargo box and enables its covers to stably cover irregularly shaped loads, such as various types of wastes or scraps, thereby considerably improving transportation safety and the convenience of use. According to the present invention, there is provided the cover apparatus for a truck cargo box, which enables stable opening and closing operations via the hinges and the variable members, and enables its covers to stably cover irregularly shaped loads via the covers in each of which the plurality of blocks is connected to each other, thereby providing the effect of considerably improving transportation safety and the convenience of use.
COUPLING DEVICE
Described is a coupling device for a joining together adjacent dock segments of a dock installation including an elongate pin portion and at least one clamp portion, each positionable on respective dock segments. The pin portion has at least one elongate first clamp surface aligned along its length with a central longitudinal first axis, the pin portion being configured to be received in a corresponding pin-receiving region adjacent the clamp portion. The pin-receiving region is at least partially bordered by at least one second clamp surface which is aligned with a second axis. The clamp portion is configured to be actuated between an open pin-receiving configuration, at least partially opening the pin-receiving region along the second axis, and a pin-engaging configuration with the first clamp surface engaged with the second clamp surface. The second axis is configured to be substantially parallel with the first axis, and with a lateral axis of at least one of the dock segments, for securing the pin portion therewith, so that the pin portion is rotatable relative to the clamp portion about the first axis to accommodate relative movement between the adjacent dock segments.
Coupling device
Described are various embodiments for coupling devices for dock installations.
Door assembly and hinge therefor
A hinge mountable between a door jamb and an edge of a door panel has a jamb part set in the jamb, and a panel part fixed to the panel. A first link has one end pivoted at a first jamb axis in the jamb part and an opposite end pivoted at a first panel axis in the panel part, and a second link has one end pivoted at a second jamb axis in the jamb part offset from the first jamb axis and an opposite end pivoted at a second panel axis in the panel part. The axes all are substantially parallel and offset horizontally from one another. The two links are not connected directly to one another between their ends. The first and second links are U-shaped in a central section between their ends.
