A device for moving a furniture part on an item of furniture, including a guide configured as an articulated lever releasably disposed on an assembly member of the device, which is assembled on the furniture part. The guide includes a securing member movably disposed on the articulated lever and capable of being positioned relative to the articulated lever. In a first position of the securing member a pivoting range of the guide is delimited by the securing member such that the guide in a closing movement is not capable of being moved from the opened position to the closed position. The present invention is directed to a Cabinet for a recreational vehicle having a main housing with an interior space, a front opening, a left side and a right side; and a door configured to seal the front opening. The cabinet further comprises a left hinge mechanism with a left hinge axis and a right hinge mechanism with a right hinge axis to selectively couple the door hinge-wise to the left side or the right side so that the door can either be rotated about the left hinge axis or the right hinge axis. The door comprises a left handle which is operably coupled to the left hinge mechanism and the right hinge mechanism so that operating the left handle allows to rotate the door about the right hinge axis. The door further comprises a right handle which is operable coupled to the left hinge mechanism and the right hinge mechanism so that operating the right handle allows to rotate the door about the left hinge axis. The left hinge mechanism comprises a left locking member separate from the left hinge axis and the right hinge mechanism comprises a right locking member separate from the right hinge axis; and the left locking member and the right locking member are in engagement with a blocking element. Operating the left handle displaces the blocking element so that the left locking member is disengaged from the blocking element, and operating the right handle displaces the blocking element so that the right locking member is disengaged from the blocking element.

A hinge assembly includes a mounting body to be fixed to a furniture carcass, a furniture hinge having two fitting portions connected to one another via at least one hinge axis, and a locking device for locking one of the fitting portions of the furniture hinge to the mounting body. The locking device includes at least one holding portion having an outer contour, and a locking contour corresponding thereto. The locking contour includes at least one stationary first member and at least one second member configured to be moved, preferably pivotally, relative to the first member.
