10815713 · 2020-10-27 ·

A clamping bar arm for a concealed door closer preferably includes a mounting base, an adjustment arm, a clamp block, a pair of clamp fasteners and a pair of adjustment fasteners. The mounting base includes a mounting plate and an adjustment extension. The pair of adjustment fasteners are threaded through the adjustment extension. A pivot pin is inserted into a top of the adjustment extension. The adjustment arm includes a clamp arm and a stop projection, which extends downward from one end of the adjustment arm. A closer spindle notch is formed in an opposing end of the clamp arm to receive a closer spindle of a concealed closer. The clamp block is secured to an opposing end of the adjustment arm with a pair of clamp fasteners. An adjustment pivot hole is formed through the clamp arm to receive the pivot pin.

Door with hidden door closer

The present disclosure describes various embodiments of a concealed or hidden door closer that is installed in a drip cap of a door assembly. In some embodiments, the door frame and door closer components are configured to allow the door assembly to be readily installed as either a left or a right hand hinged door.

Door with hidden door closer

Gate assembly

A gate assembly is formed from a gate attached by hinges to a jamb. A pair of L-shaped brackets are attached to the outer sides of the jamb. The brackets are in turn attached to a pair of gate posts in a barrier. Bolt holes formed in the header section of the jamb receive removable eye bolts that may be used as hoisting points as the jamb is being positioned within a barrier. To maintain the shape of the jamb during such positioning, a removable sill section is included in the base of the jamb. The first upright section of the jamb defines an unobstructed internal channel bounded by input and output portals. A cable may pass though the channel and into the gate by way of the output portal. Window openings in the gate may be fitted with removable window panels containing pickets and infill material. Dual gates may be positioned within an enlarged jamb, and a removable mullion post positioned between the gates and supported by the jamb.

Networked door closer

A door closer assembly for an entryway device having a position sensor that assists in determining the location of the door closer assembly, and thus the location of the associated entryway device, relative to at least an entryway. The position sensor can be coupled to, and/or part of, the door closer assembly. Information obtained by the position sensor may be used by one or processing devices of an access control system to determine whether the door closer assembly and/or the entryway device is at the closed location, among other locations, as well as the direction(s) of displacement of the entryway device. Such information may be utilized in calibrating other devices, as well as determining the occurrence of a number of events, including unauthorized displacement or holding of the entryway device. A timer may also be utilized to further evaluate the nature of the displacement of the entryway device.

METHOD FOR MOUNTING A DOOR DRIVE AND DOOR DRIVE

A method for mounting a door drive including a door actuator with a mounting section for the attachment to a counter-mounting section of a door, an attachment device for the attachment to a counter-attachment section of the door and a lever mechanism with a first end and with a second end, for the mobile support of the door actuator at the attachment device between a closing position and an opening position, where the attachment device is disposed at the first end of the lever mechanism and an axle assembly of the door actuator at a second end of the lever mechanism, and with an actuating unit of the door actuator for moving the axle assembly of the door actuator.

Sliding Door Soft-Closer Device

A soft-closer device has a housing installable in door rail, a roller and latch assembly in the housing and movable relative to the housing between first and second positions. A locking mechanism is adapted to secure the roller and latch assembly against movement to hold a sub-housing in a required position. The assembly includes a soft-closer actuator in the sub-housing operable to extend and contract, with latch mounted to project through and move along an opening of the housing as the actuator extends and contracts, and a journal on the sub-housing at which the roller is rotatable.

Spring shock lid stay

A lid stay formed from a housing slidably coupled to a base. The housing has a coupler section for securing said housing to a fixed object, and a connector section for securing the housing to the base. The base is formed from a cylindrical shaped tube defining an interior chamber, having an insertion section constructed and arranged to slidably receive said housing, but prevent the connector section of the housing from passing therethrough. An expanded coil spring is positioned within the interior chamber to maintain the housing and base in an expanded position. The lid stay is for use with a storage container base having a lid pivotally attached thereto. The lid stay biases the lid in an open position and provides resistance when closing the lid.
