REAR DOOR ASSEMBLY

A rear door assembly includes a rear opening and a roof structure having a recessed area. A carrier is movable along a portion of the recessed area between a rearward location to a forward location. A motor is attached to the carrier and the vehicle. The motor is operable to move the carrier relative to the roof structure and the rear opening between the rearward location and the forward location. A rear door has a hinge pivotally supported to the carrier for movement therewith. The rear door is movable between a door closed orientation covering the rear opening, an intermediate orientation partially exposing the rear opening and a door open orientation exposing the rear opening. A linear movement device has a first end attached to the carrier for movement therewith and a second end attached to the rear door at a location spaced apart from the hinge.

Piston assembly for aircraft door

Disclosed is an aircraft piston assembly, having: a piston housing fluid port formed in a piston housing; a piston shaft, disposed within the piston housing, configured for translation in either forward or aft directions when fluid is respectively supplied to or removed from the piston housing; a screw shaft, disposed within the piston housing, that includes a first gear that rotates without translation while the piston shaft translates; and a slider, disposed within the piston housing, that includes a second gear, and that is configured for translation without rotation, wherein: the slider moves between a first position where the first gear and the second gear are separated from one another to allow the piston shaft to translate and a second position where the second gear surrounds the first gear so that the first and second gears are engaged with one another and the piston shaft is prevented from translating.

A vehicle component has a sensor device and a controllable damper device for damping a movable door. The sensor device includes a sensor for detecting a characteristic parameter for an obstacle in a movement area of the door. The damper device can be actuated in a manner which is dependent on the parameter. A monitoring device is provided which, in order to detect a characteristic parameter for a manipulation of the vehicle, for example damage of a vehicle exterior shell or removal of a vehicle interior compartment, is operatively connected to the sensor device, in order for the latter to be interrogated.

An overhead door frame assembly has a horizontal header connected to tripod legs with splice assemblies. Each tripod leg has two upright columns connected to an upright I-bar and a support assembly and the upright columns and the upright I-bar are secured to a base adapted to be secured to a floor of a building. One of the splice assemblies is fastened to each upright column. Hinges pivotally mount an overhead door to the header to allow hydraulic cylinders connected to the support assemblies to move the overhead door to an open position and a closed position.

VEHICLE WITH PORT ENCLOSURE

A vehicle includes a chassis, a body coupled to the chassis and having a front surface, the body defining a recess positioned along the front surface and extending rearward from the front surface, a port coupled to the body and positioned within the recess, and a door movably coupled to the body and selectively repositionable between a closed position and an open position. In the closed position, the door extends across the recess and obstructs access to the port. In the open positon, the door permits access to the port.
