In-vehicle carbon monoxide alarm

A device and method for detecting operating conditions of a vehicle that could lead to toxic levels of carbon monoxide (CO) is disclosed. The device is inserted into an On-board Diagnostics (OBD-II) plug on a vehicle. It monitors operating conditions of the vehicle and detects situations that could lead to a toxic buildup of CO. If the situation where the engine running but the vehicle speed is not moving is detected, a signal is generated to cause a garage door to open. As an alternative, the method is accomplished in a processing device integral to the vehicle.

Control device and control system

A control device of the present disclosure includes a receiver configured to receive a function enabling signal transmitted from a portable machine used to manipulate a vehicle, a determination unit configured to measure a predetermined time since the receiver receives the function enabling signal and determine whether the predetermined time elapses, and an opening and closing body controller configured to control opening and closing of an opening and closing body of the vehicle. The opening and closing body controller controls an opening operation of the opening and closing body based on user's action detected by a sensor, which is provided in or around the opening and closing body to detect the user's action, before the determination unit determines that the predetermined time elapses and after the receiver receives the function enabling signal from the portable machine.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DAMPER ACTUATOR WITHOUT MICROCONTROLLER

Methods and systems include an actuator 40 adapted to provide drive power and hold power to an external device. A motor 34 provides for driving the external device to a determined position when the motor 34 is energized. A switching circuit is configured to energize the motor 34 with a high voltage to drive the external device to the determined position and energize the motor 34 with a low voltage to hold the external device in the determined position.

Automatic chicken coup door
09775329 · 2017-10-03 ·

An automatic drive unit for a door assembly of the type having a frame with an opening, a door positionable within the opening between an open position and a closed position, and a door actuator for moving the door between the open and closed positions, includes a controller circuit having a power source, a timing circuit for reporting the date and time to a processor, a non-volatile memory, a programmed set of instructions, and a display. The programmed set of instructions are adapted for receiving input of a location and open and close offset times, and storing such information in the memory. The controller circuit executing the instructions determines based on its location and the date a sunrise time and a sunset time, opens the door at the sunrise time plus the open offset time, and closes the door at the sunset time plus the close offset time.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR POWERED CLOSING OF CAR DOORS

The technology relates to assisting in the closing of a vehicle door by automatically pulling a door closed. One or more computing devices having one or more processors may receive, from one or more sensors, information indicating that a door on the vehicle is not closed. In response to the received information indicating that the door is not closed, the one or more computing devices may determine to send a triggering signal to close the door. The one or more computing devices may send the triggering signal to the actuator and the actuator may receive the triggering signal. In response to receiving the triggering signal the actuator may be activated to close the door of the vehicle without user input.
