Modular bidirectional spring cage
An exemplary apparatus includes a modular, self-contained spring cage and a spindle. The spring cage includes a housing and a clock spring mounted in the housing, and the clock spring includes a first leg and a second leg. The spindle extends through the spring cage, and is rotatable from a home position about a longitudinal axis in each of a first rotational direction and a second rotational direction. Rotation of the spindle from the home position in the first rotational direction causes pivoting of the first leg while the second leg remains stationary, thereby causing the clock spring to urge the spindle to return to the home position. Rotation of the spindle from the home position in the second rotational direction causes pivoting of the second leg while the first leg remains stationary, thereby causing the clock spring to urge the spindle to return to the home position.
MAGNETIC LOCKSET
An exemplary lockset includes a mortise case, a magnet assembly mounted in the mortise case, and a manual actuator operable to move the magnet assembly between a coupling position in which a first magnet of the magnet assembly is aligned with a reference point and a decoupling position in which the first magnet is misaligned with the reference point. In certain embodiments, the magnet assembly further includes a second magnet having an opposite polarity as the first magnet, and the second magnet is misaligned with the reference point when the magnet assembly is in the coupling position and is aligned with the reference point when the magnet assembly is in the decoupling position.
Window operator handle and cover with magnetic securing features and detent
A window operator handle and cover with magnetic features that enable the handle to be retained to the cover in a folded position. The handle can have a detent mechanism to retain the handle in an unfolded position. The operator cover can also be attached to the operator with magnets.
Hinge and system for detachably connecting a door to a frame
The invention relates to a hinge for releasably connecting a door to a frame, including: a frame part for fastening to the frame, a door part for fastening to the door, a hinge pin having a pin axis and a locking element. The frame part and the door part are movable relative to one another along the pin axis between a pivoted position and an installed position; in the pivoted position the frame part and the door part are connected to one another in such a way that the frame part and the door part are pivotable relative to one another about the pin axis between an open position and a closed position. The locking element is adjustable between a locking position and a release position, and the movement of the frame part and of the door part relative to one another along the pin axis from the pivoted position into the installed position is positively inhibited by the locking element the locking position and is freed by the locking element in the release position, the locking element being retained on the frame part or on the door part so as to be adjustable between the locking position and the release position.
Automatic ejection device and system
A device may include a body, springs, and a plunger. The body may include a back wall and a front wall. The body may have a cavity forming spring channels and at least one rail. The front wall may have an aperture extending into the cavity. Each spring may be implemented in one of the spring channels. The plunger may include a plunger head and a plunger rod extending from the plunger head and through the aperture. The plunger head may be configured to engage the springs. The plunger head may have at least one rail guide channel, each configured to accommodate one rail. When a compressive force is applied to the plunger rod, the plunger head compresses the springs as the plunger head travels in a first direction within the cavity. When the compressive force is reduced, the plunger head travels in a second direction opposite the first direction.
SUPPORT DEVICE AND FOLDING FURNITURE HAVING THE SAME
Disclosed are a support device and a folding furniture having the support device. The support device includes a base, a support mechanism, a fixed seat, and a force providing mechanism installed to the base. The support mechanism includes a support element and a rotating element rotatably installed to the base. The support assembly has an end hinged to the fixed seat and the other end having a disassembling structure for detachably connecting the rotating element. The rotating element abuts the force providing mechanism, and the force providing mechanism is provided for supporting the rotating element. The support device has an ingenious structural design, so that the support element and the rotating element can be installed or removed conveniently, and the operation is simple and labor-saving, and the lifting operation of the support element has the features of stable operation, low noise, and high practicality.
Motorized hinge
A hinge for connecting a door to a household appliance compartment is described, having a fastening bracket suitable for being fastened to the compartment of the household appliance, a movable support to rotatably constrain the door to the fastening bracket, an activating arm coupled to the fastening bracket, movement means suitable for moving the activating arm, the activating arm having a first end portion suitable for being constrained to the door, and a second end portion suitable for being coupled to the movement means to move the activating arm between an open position and a closed position of the door, the movement means having an electric motor and reversible connecting means to couple and decouple selectively the electric motor to/from the second end portion, the hinge being configured so that when the electric motor is coupled to the second end portion, the electric motor causes the movement of the activating arm, while when the electric motor is decoupled from the second end portion, the movement of the first end portion occurs independently of the electric motor to allow a user to freely move the door.
AUTOMATIC DOOR WITH BIASED OPEN AND MANUALLY CLOSED EXTERNAL PARTIAL DOOR
A door assembly may include a first sidelite configured to be operably coupled to a first door jamb, a second sidelite configured to be operably coupled to a second door jamb where the first and second sidelites are disposed in a common plane and defining a door opening between the first and second sidelites, a first sliding panel, a second sliding panel where the first and second sliding panels are movable from a closed position disposing the first and second sliding panels to block access through the door opening and an open position in which the first sliding panel is proximate the first sidelite and the second sliding panel is proximate the second sidelite, and are disposed in a second plane parallel to the common plane in both the open and closed position, a first partial door panel disposed in a third plane opposite the second plate relative to the common plane, and a second partial door panel disposed in the third plane, the first and second partial door panel being movable from being a closed state in which the first and second partial door panels at least partially block access through the door opening and an open state in which the first partial door panel is proximate the first sidelite and the second partial door panel is proximate the second sidelite. The first and second partial door panels are each operably coupled to a biasing assembly that biases the first and second partial door panels toward the open state, and the first and second partial door panels are configured to be transitioned to the closed state by manual operation against a force of the biasing assembly.
DOOR STOP MECHANISM
An example door stop mechanism is provided. The door stop mechanism includes a body, a connection member, a spring, and a brake. The spring is coupled to the body and the connection member. The brake is positioned adjacent to the body. The brake moves between an engaged position via a spring force of the spring that causes the body to interact with the brake such that the brake contacts a track of an overhead door and an disengaged position via a force that acts against the spring force to pull the body away from the brake such that the brake moves away from the track to allow the overhead door to move
