20170342761 · 2017-11-30 ·

A power optimizer system for power closure panels includes a closure panel power actuator system comprising at least a motor operatively connected to a vehicle closure panel. A controller is configured to determine an optimal electrical current draw for the power actuator system according to one or more inputs relating at least to a vehicle battery status, a vehicle ambient temperature, a vehicle grade, and a vehicle climate control system status. Methods of modeling/optimizing the appropriate electrical current draw for power closure systems operating in varying voltage, temperature, grade, and climate control system conditions relative to a vehicle, or other similar mechanisms are also described.

Motor vehicle

The present invention relates to a motor vehicle that is equipped with an electrical door closing mechanism, a radio-based signal receiver and a control unit, wherein the door closing mechanism can be actuated after receiving and verifying an access authorization code by electrical signals that are generated by a control unit. The motor vehicle possesses an electrical charging apparatus accessible from the outside so that a signal generator that is provided to generate the access code can be charged from the electrical system of the motor vehicle in the event of an insufficient charge. Furthermore, the invention describes a method for charging a signal generator that can be executed using the device according to the invention.

Latch module and an appliance using the same

A latch module for controlling an opening and a closing of a door of an appliance includes a latch, a spring that applies an elastic force to the latch, a motor; and a cam that contacts a contact surface of the latch and is coupled to the motor to drive the cam to pivot the latch. The cam includes a first radius, a second radius, and a third radius in a circumferential direction at an outer circumference of the cam. The latch is positioned at a first basic position when the first radius of the cam contacts the contact surface of the latch, positioned at a second basic position when the second radius of the cam contacts the contact surface of the latch, and positioned at a third basic position when the third radius of the cam contacts the contact surface of the latch.

Movable barrier disengagement detection

Systems, methods, and apparatus for detecting movable barrier disengagement are provided. A movable barrier operator system includes a motor configured to be coupled to a movable barrier and move the movable barrier, a motor sensor configured to measure a load value of the motor, communication circuitry configured to receive, from a remote control, a state change request to cause movement of the movable barrier, and a processor circuit. The processor circuit is configured to cause actuation of the motor in response to receipt of the state change request, detect, based on the load value, a disengagement between the motor and the movable barrier, and cause a communication to be sent, in response to detecting the disengagement, to a remote server, the communication indicative of motor disengagement.

ENHANCED SERVICE

A computing device determines that one or more users have departed a vehicle. The computing device determines whether a vehicle door is ajar. A power door subsystem is actuated to close the vehicle door when the vehicle door is ajar and the vehicle has no users. A fare is determined when the vehicle door is in a latched position. A message is sent to the at least one of the one or more users indicating the fare.

There is no known device which sounds an alarm and rolls down the windows in a car with a child left inside in a designed safety seat, when the temperature inside reaches an unsafe degree.

Cloud-enabled vehicle autostart monitoring

In accordance with one aspect of the disclosure, an apparatus is provided that includes a database configured to store one or more vehicle status parameters of a vehicle and one or more secured space status parameters of a secured space. The apparatus further includes a server-based processor operatively coupled or connected to the database and configured to receive one or more of the one or more vehicle status parameters and one or more of the one or more secured space status parameters. The server-based processor is further configured to determine, based on at least one of the one or more vehicle status parameters and at least one of the one or more secured space status parameters whether to change a state of the vehicle.

METHOD OF CONTROLLING A MOVABLE CLOSURE MEMBER OF A VEHICLE
20170260795 · 2017-09-14 ·

A method of controlling a movable closure member of a vehicle is provided. The method includes the steps of: determining an initial position of the movable closure member; initiating movement of the movable closure member; and switching power between a first shunt and a second shunt when the movable closure member is at an intermediate position between the initial position and a final position of the movable closure member. The shunt may be traces on a printed circuit board. Within the method, the initiating step may include switching power to the first shunt when the initial position of the movable closure member is determined to be a closed position, and switching power from the first shunt to the second shunt when the movable closure member is at an intermediate position. The movable closure member may be a side door window, a rear gate window, a power sliding door, a sunroof, or a moon roof.
