The system includes an actuator, a motor, and a controller to control selective actuation of the door access panel. The system also includes a wireless communication interface to communicatively couple the controller and a smart device for receiving a remote input to actuate the door access panel between the closed and opened positions. The system further includes a user interface configured to receive local input for actuation of the door access panel. A sensing unit is also included and has a position sensor to generate position signals to the controller. A scanning unit is coupled to the controller to scan packages delivered through the passageway.

A door seal is positioned along at least a portion of a door opening, wherein the door seal includes a first conductor and a second conductor positioned therein. The first and second conductors are dielectrically isolated and cooperate to generate a capacitive signal. A controller is configured to monitor the capacitive signal and control the cinch assembly in response to the capacitive signal.

The auxiliary control module is operable to actuate the auxiliary motor when the auxiliary control module does not receive the reference signal.

A vehicle includes a body and a door coupled to the body. The door is operable between opened and closed positions. A cinch assembly is operably coupled to the door. A door seal is positioned along at least a portion of a door opening, wherein the door seal includes a first conductor and a second conductor positioned therein. The first and second conductors are dielectrically isolated and cooperate to generate a capacitive signal. A controller is configured to monitor the capacitive signal and control the cinch assembly in response to the capacitive signal.

An automatic door opening system including a door having a top portion, a bottom portion, a hinged portion, and an opening portion. The system includes an opener connected to the door adjacent the opening portion and configured to selectively receive electrical current. The system includes a magnet disposed on the opening portion of the door such that the magnet is adjacent the opener when the door is in the closed position. The system includes a microcontroller in electric communication with the electromagnet wherein a memory contains processor-executable instructions to receive a door activation input and, in response to receiving the door activation input, activate the electromagnet to apply a magnetic force against the magnet and push the door between the closed position and the open position. The system may also include a closer configured to selectively return the door to the closed position.
