Detecting objects within a vehicle in connection with a service
A system for monitoring a vehicle used in providing a service is disclosed. The system detects when the service is complete, and upon detecting that the service is complete, the system determines, from one or more sensors of the vehicle, that an object which should have been removed from the vehicle after completion of the transport service, remains in the vehicle. The system then automatically initiates performance of a remedial action.
RUNNING BOARD ACTIVATED VEHICLE POWERED CLOSURE MEMBER SYSTEMS
Motor vehicles may be equipped with running board activated powered closure member systems. A powered opening or closing sequence of a closure member may be initiated by activating a running board assembly of the powered closure member system in response to a user input. The user input can be provided by a limb of the user, for example. In some embodiments, the running board assembly may include integrated sensors for receiving the user input. In other embodiments, the running board assembly may be configured to function as a switch for receiving the user input.
VEHICLE HAVING IMAGING DEVICE FOR DRIVER AND WINDOW MONITORING
A vehicle is provided that includes a cabin interior, a seat configured to hold a passenger, a window having a movable panel actuatable between open and closed positions, and an actuator to power the window between the open and closed positions. The vehicle also includes an imaging device located in the cabin interior and oriented to capture images of a passenger seated on the seat and at least a portion of the movable panel of the window, and a controller processing the images to determine one or more characteristics of a face of the passenger. The controller further processes the images to monitor a position of the movable panel.
METHOD FOR THE OPERATION OF A MOTORIZED FLAP ARRANGEMENT
A method of operating a motorized flap arrangement of a motor vehicle, the flap arrangement including a flap, configured to be swiveled about a swivel axis, a drive arrangement, a drive controller, configured to control the drive arrangement, and a motion sensor arrangement, the sensor values determined by the motion sensor arrangement are checked for fulfillment of a specified actuation criterion, upon which an actuation effect manually exerted on the flap is deemed to be detected and the drive arrangement is controlled by the drive controller for motorized adjustment of the flap. The motion sensor arrangement arranged on a section of the flap facing away from the swivel axis. The actuation criterion is defined in such a way that the actuation criterion is fulfilled by a torque introduced into the flap before exceeding a breakaway torque of the flap kinematics.
Cockpit access security system
A cockpit access security system controls changes to a record of personnel authorized to access the cockpit by reference to the state of the aircraft as determined by a plurality of on-board sensors indicating the state of particular aircraft subsystems.
Integrated door release and present system
A system is used to control access into a vehicle having a vehicle body defining a vehicle interior, a vehicle exterior, and an access opening. The vehicle also has an access door for selectively covering and uncovering at least a portion of the access opening. The system includes a latch configured to selectively fasten the door to the vehicle body and release the door therefrom. The system also includes a cable configured to operate the latch and thereby release the door from the vehicle body. The system additionally includes a door presenter configured to shift the door away from the vehicle body. The system also includes a mechanism configured to sequentially actuate the cable and the door presenter. The system further includes an electric motor configured to power the mechanism such that the door is shifted away from the vehicle body by the door presenter after the door is released.
Door Safety System, Method for Operating a Door Safety System, and Transport Means
A door safety system (3) for a door (2), having a safety component (10) arranged on a movable door element (4, 4a, 4b) of the door (2) and a supply component (11) arranged on a stationary door frame (5) of the door (2) for supplying energy to the safety component (10). The safety component (10) has an electric energy store (12) which is designed to autonomously supply electric energy to the safety component (10) when the door (2) is open, and the safety component (10) and the supply component (11) are designed to electrically charge the electric energy store (12) of the safety component (10) when the door (2) is closed.
APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING WINDOW OF VEHICLE AND METHOD THEREOF
A window control apparatus of a vehicle and a method thereof may include a sensor that collects state information of the vehicle, and a controller that subdivides an entire short drop section of a frameless window provided in the vehicle into a plurality of short drop sections, and performs a transition of the frameless window between a full closed state of the frameless window and a plurality of shot drop states corresponding to the plurality of shot drop sections, based on the state information of the vehicle.
Vehicle door opening/closing device
In order to notify a user of a vehicle of a sensor position in an easily understandable manner to easily open and close a vehicle door by an operation performed by the user of the vehicle, a vehicle door opening/closing device includes: a road surface projection unit configured to project a display representing a position at which shape identification is performed, on a road surface around a vehicle; a shape identification unit configured to perform identification of a shape of an object in a predetermined road surface range including the display projected by the road surface projection unit; and a control unit configured to drive opening or closing of a vehicle door when the shape that is identified by the shape identification unit for the object in the predetermined road surface range represents a shape of a foot portion of a person.
Integrated pick up truck bed
A vehicle cargo compartment system includes an electric outlet mounted within an accessible location within a vehicle cargo compartment and a sensor assembly mounted proximate the electric outlet within the cargo compartment for detecting a presence of an electrical power cord. The cargo compartment system integrates powered features such as an electric outlet, powered tailgate and the powered top that utilizes environmental information gathered by various sensors on the vehicle in combination with predefined actions to simplify use and automate operation.
