A parcel receptacle includes a bottom member, an exterior wall that extends upward from the bottom member and that defines an interior space, and a top member that is coupled with the exterior wall and configured to cover an opening of the receptacle to enclose the parcel within the interior space. The parcel receptacle also includes a lock mechanism that is operably coupled with the top member and the exterior wall. The lock mechanism is lockable to prevent user access to the interior space and is unlockable to enable the top member to be opened to allow user access to the interior space. A vertical lip of the top member overlaps at least a portion of the exterior wall so that a seam between the top member and the exterior wall is covered by the vertical lip.

A motorized window with one or more motors and a frame with a slidable segment is disclosed. A drive system with gears, transmission or worm drive engage with a gear track mounted to the frame or slidable segment. Rotating a first gear in a first rotational direction causes the first gear to pull the slidable segment in a first linear direction. Rotating the first gear in a second rotational direction causes the first gear to pull the slidable segment in a second linear direction. Preferably, a controller controls the operation of the motors. Sensors inform the controller, and user input via a mobile device enables both direct user control and programming of the controller.

Systems and methods for use in the secure recovery of drone delivered packages can include a housing, at least one electromechanically operated door securing access to the housing, and a retractable platform that can electromechanically extend from inside the housing to an area outside the housing when the at least one electromechanically operated door is opened. The retractable platform can serve as a landing pad for a delivery drone and/or as a base onto which a package can be received from a delivery drone. The retractable platform can electromechanically move back into the housing and the door can close after receiving the package. Communications components, alarms, and cameras can also be associated with the housing to facilitate its operation for package recovery and security.

The sliding frame is slidably mounted in the outer frame. The switch assembly controls the driving module to selectively drive the upper locking rod and the lower locking rod to two locking positions respectively, two ventilation positions respectively or two unlocking positions respectively. Since no handle is needed, an appearance of the intelligent window is neat and scenery outside the intelligent window would not be sheltered. In addition, by actuating the switch module to electrically drive the upper locking rod and the lower locking rod, a user is able to switch the intelligent window to a locked state, a ventilation state or a unlocked state. It is labor-saving and simple in operation.

Two side panel pivot actuators couple to the pivoting side panels. Movable awnings support photovoltaic modules to provide a power source. Indoor and outdoor sensors send measurements to the controller that, based on the measurements, selectively operates the awning open-close actuator and the side panel pivot actuators.
