SECURE BEVERAGE CONTAINER WITH LOCKING FEATURE AND RELATED METHODS
A secure beverage container may include a body having a first end, a second end opposing the first end, a first longitudinal side extending between the first end and the second end, and a second longitudinal side opposing the first longitudinal side and extending between the first end and the second end, the first end being closed, the second end being open. The body may define a cavity to receive a beverage fluid. The secure beverage container may include a lid to be received by the second end to seal the cavity in the body, and a powered locking device. The secure beverage container may include an access control device coupled to the powered locking device and configured to cause the powered locking device to switch between the locked state and the unlocked state based upon a security token.
Opening and closing device
An opening and closing device includes an upper arm and a lower arm spaced apart in an up-and-down direction and extend between a vehicle door and a vehicle body, a connecting member configured to connect a first end portion of the upper arm and a first end portion of the lower arm, a body-side upper hinge and a body-side lower hinge attached to the vehicle body so as to be spaced apart in the up-and-down direction and support the connecting member rotatably, a door-side upper hinge attached to an inner panel of the vehicle door to support a second end portion of the upper arm rotatably, and a door-side lower hinge attached to the inner panel of the vehicle door to support a second end portion of the lower arm rotatably.
Door closer communication
A door closer system having a door closer that includes at least one sensor configured to sense an operating characteristic or condition relating to the door closer including a position or speed of displacement of at least a portion of the door closer or an associated entryway device. The sensor(s) can also provide information relating to the performance or condition of one or more components of the door closer, such as the operation of a backcheck mechanism, as well as tracking the number of door cycles. Information obtained by the sensor(s) of the door closer system can be communicated to a lockset device of an entryway control system. The lockset device can be configured to communicate information received from the door closer system to an access control system, which can in turn provide the communicated information to a management system.
Operating a door of a smart-home through various stages of user detection
This relates to apparatus, systems, methods, and related computer program products for providing home security/smart-home objectives. More particularly, this relates to intelligent, multi-sensing, network-connected devices that communicate with each other and/or with a central server or a cloud-computing system to provide any of a variety of useful home security/smart-home objectives, including managing ingress and egress through any smart door of a smart-home.
Automatic Control of a Movable Barrier
In one aspect, an in-vehicle computing device is provided for controlling operation of a movable barrier operator. The in-vehicle computing device includes a sensor configured to detect a vehicle characteristic and communication circuitry operable to cause automatic operation of the movable barrier operator by communicating with the movable barrier operator. The in-vehicle device further includes a processor operatively coupled to the communication circuitry, the sensor, and the memory. The processor configured to determine satisfaction of a user account condition and, upon the user account condition not being satisfied, to inhibit the communication circuitry from initiating automatic operation of the movable barrier operator.
SWITCH ARRANGEMENTS FOR POWERED DOORS
Switch arrangements for powered doors are disclosed. A door includes a panel and a track to guide movement of the panel between an open position and a closed position. The track defines a track slot extending along an exterior length of the track. The door further includes a sensor target to be carried by the panel within the track. The door also includes a sensor selectively attachable to an exterior of the track via the track slot. The sensor to detect the sensor target when the panel is in a first position. The track defines an aperture to be positioned between the sensor target and the sensor when the panel is in the first position.
Automatic Smoke/Carbon Monoxide Power Cut-Off Method and System
An automatic carbon monoxide power cut-off system for a carbon monoxide source, where the system includes a microprocessor co-located with the carbon monoxide source, and a carbon monoxide sensor in wireless communication with the microprocessor and configured to detect presence of carbon monoxide and wirelessly transmit a sensor signal to the microprocessor, and the microprocessor being configured to generate a trigger signal in response to the sensor signal indicative of carbon monoxide exceeding a predetermine level. A power cut-off device is coupled to the microprocessor and is configured to automatically cut off power to the carbon monoxide source in response to the trigger signal, so that the carbon monoxide source automatically stops generating carbon monoxide. The carbon monoxide source may include a furnace and a power generator.
GARAGE DOOR OPENER MAINTENANCE AND SERVICES
A garage door opener system includes a garage door opener having one or more sensors configured to monitor the status of a garage door as it moves between first and second positions. The garage door opener system may detect one or more anomalies in a profile generated from information from the one or more sensors and alert a user to the presence of those anomalies. The garage door opener system may allow a user to find and contact a service provider to address the one or more anomalies.
DOOR CLOSER DIAGNOSTICS SYSTEM
A method and apparatus relating to generating, by at least one motion sensor of a data acquisition device that is mounted to a door having a door closer, motion data indicative of motion as the door is moved from an open position to a closed position, generating, by at least one load cell of the data acquisition device, load data as the door is being opened, analyzing the motion data and load data by a central processing device, determining at least one adjustment to the door closer based on at least one of a duration the door was in each of a plurality of door movement zones, as determined using the motion data, and a force applied to open the door, as determined using the load data, and displaying at least one installation instruction corresponding with the at least one adjustment on a graphical user interface of the central processing device.
