The lockset includes a motor configured to move the bolt between the extended position and the retracted position. A controller is provided that is configured to electronically control the motor to control movement of the bolt between the extended position and the retracted position responsive to receiving a valid authentication from an authentication device. The lockset includes a receiver connected to an antenna to detect an incoming wireless signal transmitted from an authentication device. The controller includes an angle of arrival sensor configured to determine a distance and a direction to the authentication device by analyzing a wireless phase and timing of the incoming wireless signal transmitted by the authentication device. The controller is configured to control movement of the bolt between the extended and retracted positions based, at least in part, on the distance and the direction to the authentication device.

Door closing device

An apparatus comprises a base plate configured to be coupled to a door, the door configured to be positioned in an open position and a closed position; a closing mechanism coupled to the base plate and configured to be coupled to a hinge of the door and having an unprimed state and a primed state, the closing mechanism configured to be transitioned between the unprimed state and the primed state by a user; wherein in the unprimed state the closing mechanism is decoupled from operation of the door; and in the primed state the closing mechanism is configured to move the door into the closed position responsive to receipt of a signal, and the closing mechanism is configured to allow movement of the door between the open position and the closed position in absence of the signal.

VEHICLE CONTROL DEVICE, VEHICLE CONTROL METHOD, VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM, AND COMMUNICATION TERMINAL

A vehicle control device that includes a memory and a processor coupled to the memory, and that controls driving of a vehicle door. The processor being configured to determine multiple times whether or not a communication terminal communicable with the vehicle control device is in a cabin-external region, which is a predetermined region external to a cabin of the vehicle, in a case in which a door switch of the vehicle door has been operated. The processor being configured to perform control to drive the vehicle door in accordance with the operation of the door switch in a case in which it has been determined at least one time or more, based on determination results, that the communication terminal is in the cabin-external region.

Automatic control of a movable barrier

In one aspect, an in-vehicle computing device is provided for controlling operation of a movable barrier operator. The in-vehicle computing device includes a sensor configured to detect a vehicle characteristic and communication circuitry operable to cause automatic operation of the movable barrier operator by communicating with the movable barrier operator. The in-vehicle device further includes a processor operatively coupled to the communication circuitry, the sensor, and the memory. The processor configured to determine satisfaction of a user account condition and, upon the user account condition not being satisfied, to inhibit the communication circuitry from initiating automatic operation of the movable barrier operator.

Modular electronic deadbolt systems

A modular electronic deadbolt includes a bolt module having a first housing defining a first longitudinal axis, a motor disposed in the first housing, and a deadbolt configured to be linearly moveable in relation to the first housing along the first longitudinal axis by the motor. The modular electronic deadbolt also includes a battery module configured to be operatively coupled to the bolt module. The battery module includes a second housing configured to receive a power source, and a face plate coupled to the second housing. The faceplate defines a second longitudinal axis and includes an extension that extends along the second longitudinal axis. The extension is configured to removably couple the bolt module to the battery module such that the first longitudinal axis is substantially orthogonal to the second longitudinal axis.

Switch arrangements for powered doors

Switch arrangements for powered doors are disclosed. A door includes a panel and a track to guide movement of the panel between an open position and a closed position. The track defines a track slot extending along an exterior length of the track. The door further includes a sensor target to be carried by the panel within the track. The door also includes a sensor selectively attachable to an exterior of the track via the track slot. The sensor to detect the sensor target when the panel is in a first position. The track defines an aperture to be positioned between the sensor target and the sensor when the panel is in the first position.

Systems and Methods for Operating a Movable Barrier Operator

A method is provided for operating a movable barrier operator system in connection with a delivery. The method includes, at the movable barrier operator system, receiving a delivery open command and moving a movable barrier from a closed position to an open position. The method further includes identifying a delivery timer value based at least in part upon the delivery open command, operating a timer using the delivery timer value, and moving the movable barrier from the open position toward the closed position upon expiration of the timer.

A door assist system of a vehicle may handle a remotely triggered operation of a power door of the vehicle. The door assist system receives from an off-board system a door closure signal requesting the door assist system to activate closing of a power door of the vehicle. The door assist system further determines with input from one or more surroundings detecting sensors adapted to capture a surrounding proximate the vehicle, that an obstacle is in vicinity of the vehicle. Moreover, the door assist system refrains from activating closing of the power door when the obstacle is determined to interfere and/or potentially interfere with a projected closing path of the power door. A door assist system, and a vehicle comprising such a door assist system may perform the foregoing remotely triggered operation.
