An adjustable length counterbalance mechanism for lift doors, frequently used for cargo trailers and garages. The adjustable length torque shaft of the counterbalance mechanism is able to accommodate many different lift door widths and is simpler to install than a fixed length torque shaft. In embodiments, the adjustable torque shaft is comprised of two outer torque shafts, each with a torsion spring and cable drum and a middle torque shaft that can be assembled together. The middle torque shaft can be inserted into each of the outer torque shafts to a selected depth to determine the length of the adjustable torque shaft.

A sensing edge is made in segments that can be used to determine at which point along the edge an obstruction occurred. Data collected can be used to determine a point in a process that the fault occurred by addressing each segment individually or as a whole. A programmable controller can be operatively coupled to the sensing edge, and can include logic to control the door and/or other equipment using data collected from the sensing edge.

Linear drive actuator for a movable vehicle panel

An apparatus for opening and closing a deck lid of a vehicle body includes a jack-screw type drive unit having two elongated relatively rotatable drive elements which are threadably engaged for bi-directional displacement. An electric motor engages the rotatable drive element. A first mounting device pivotally connects the rotatable drive element to a relatively fixed point on the vehicle. A second mounting device pivotally connects the non-rotatable drive element to the deck lid, or vice versa. The motor is energized to affect bi-directional control of the drive unit while enabling low back-drive effort. A concentric spring counters loading due to the weight of the deck lid.

SPACER ASSEMBLY

A hinge includes a first fixing bracket, a shaft and a swivel bracket. The first fixing bracket includes two first support pieces and a first connection piece. The two first support pieces are arranged in parallel to each other, and the first connection piece is connected to the two second support pieces. The two first support pieces are respectively provided with a shaft hole and the shaft holes are arranged coaxially along a central axis. At least one of the first support pieces is provided with one limiting extension portion extending in a direction in parallel to the central axis at an upper front end of the first support piece and extending towards the other first support piece. The shaft is inserted into the shaft hole. The swivel bracket includes a mounting plate; an extension plate extending from a bottom edge of the mounting plate and bent towards a side corresponding to the inner surface of the mounting plate; at least one sleeve piece located between the two first support pieces, extending from an end of the extension plate away from the bottom edge, and bent and wound towards the side corresponding to the inner surface. The sleeve piece is configured to be sleeved over the shaft, such that the swivel bracket can rotate with respect to the first fixing bracket. When the swivel bracket is flipped outwards with respect to the first fixing bracket, the extension plate moves towards the limiting extension portion.

OPENING-AND-CLOSING BODY DRIVING DEVICE

An opening-and-closing body driving device includes an extendable unit including a spindle, a nut, a rod, a bearing, and a guide tube; and a driving unit. The guide tube includes an insertion portion, and an inner tube configured to allow movement of the nut in the axial direction and restrict rotation of the nut. A surface of the bearing facing a direction opposite to an insertion direction, in which the insertion portion is inserted, is defined as a first reference surface, and a surface of the housing facing a direction opposite to the insertion direction is defined as a second reference surface. A distance from the first reference surface of the bearing to a distal end of the inner peripheral wall is longer than a distance from the second reference surface of the housing to a distal end of the outer peripheral wall in the axial direction.
