SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DECOUPLING OF A DOOR LINEAR ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY FOR A DAMAGE CONDITION
A system for releasably securing a linear actuator assembly to a vehicle closure panel comprising the linear actuator assembly coupled at one end to a door frame by a first pivot connection and coupled at a second end to a vehicle body by a second pivot connection, the actuator assembly having an extensible member configured for extension and retraction in order to facilitate opening and closing of the closure panel with respect to the vehicle body; and at least one of the pivot connections having an actuator connector connected to the extensible member and a body connector connected to either the vehicle body or the door frame, such that when in a coupled state a connection element secures the body connector to the actuator connector; and a disconnection mechanism for removing the connection element from the connectors in response to a detection of a damage event.
ACTUATOR RATE CONTROL WITH ENERGY ABSORBING PRESSURE RELIEF SYSTEM
An actuator includes a piston assembly movably disposed within an assembly housing having a fixedly supported end and an opposing end that receives a movable piston assembly. The piston assembly includes a piston rod and an attached piston head having a fixed orifice as well as an orifice with a check valve to create rate control of the assembly. Hydraulic fluid is caused to move through the axially movable piston head based on compressive and tensile loads imparted to the assembly. A plurality of pre-loaded springs are configured to selectively provide pressure relief in the event the orifices of the piston become clogged, wherein the plurality of pre-loaded springs, such as disc springs, further provide an energy absorbing function of the assembly based on loading conditions.
Assembly for adjusting an adjustment element relative to a stationary portion of a vehicle
An assembly for adjusting an adjustment element relative to a stationary portion of a vehicle, in particular of a vehicle door relative to a vehicle body comprises a drive motor for electromotively adjusting the adjustment element and an electrically actuatable locking device for locking the adjustment element with the stationary portion of the vehicle in a closed position, wherein the locking device has a locked condition in which the locking device is locked relative to the stationary portion for blocking the adjustment element in the closed position, and an unlocked condition in which the locking device is unlocked for adjusting the adjustment element relative to the stationary portion. A control device serves for controlling the drive motor and the locking device. It is provided that the control device is formed to actuate the drive motor for executing a diagnostic routine, while the locking device is in the locked condition.
DOOR GUIDE SYSTEM WITH MODULAR THRESHOLD TRACK
A sliding door and floor guide assembly including a floor guide and at least one door panel including a pin guide assembly, and a guide shoe. The guide shoe has a curved bottom surface and the rail has a corresponding curved upper surface so that the two surfaces can engage one another. The pin guide assembly includes a spring that exerts a downward force to keep the guide shoe and rail in contact with one another. The guide shoe also includes at least one beveled surface adjacent the region where the guide shoe and rail engage. This beveled surface causes debris on the rail to be moved away from the rail when the door is opened or closed so that the debris does not interfere with the operation of the sliding door.
GUIDE APPARATUS FOR GUIDING A FURNITURE PART
A guide apparatus for guiding a furniture part, in particular a sliding door or folding-sliding-door, including a guide rail and a chassis which can be connected to the furniture part and which can travel on the guide rail. The chassis has a load-bearing roller, mounted about a first rotation axis, for supporting the weight of the furniture part and a supporting roller for laterally guiding the furniture part. The supporting roller is rotatably mounted about a second rotation axis which is oriented transverse to the first rotation axis, and a support apparatus is separate from the at least one supporting roller, and is designed to relieve the supporting roller in an end position of the at least one guide rail against a transverse force acting laterally, i.e. substantially parallel to the first rotation axis.
Hinge and cabinet provided with a hinge
A furnishing is fitted with a rotating panel (5), in particular a transparent panel. The panel is mounted in the furnishing via at least a hinge (20), wherein the hinge comprises a first hinge part (21) for attaching close to the panel and a second hinge part (22) for attaching to the panel. A receivable member (25) extends from one of the two hinge parts (21,22) and is received in a receiving cavity (35) in another of the two hinge parts in order to connect the two hinge parts pivotally to each other. The respective other hinge part (22) comprises a holder part (30) with a holder body (33) which is accommodated while allowing freedom of movement in the receiving cavity. The holder body (33) comprises a bore in which the receiving member is received.
