FAULT TOLERANT POWER LIFTGATE OBSTRUCTION DETECTION SYSTEM
A system and method detects an obstruction in the path of a vehicle access control member moving from an open position to a closed position. The method includes transmitting a detection signal along an edge of the member towards a reflective surface mounted on the member. The detection signal includes a sequence of pulses having different amplitudes with the amplitudes varying linearly moving from a first pulse to a final pulse of the sequence of pulses. The method further includes receiving a detection response signal corresponding to the detection signal following reflection of the detection signal by one of the reflective surface and the obstruction. The detection response signal includes another sequence of pulses and the method further includes generating an obstruction signal indicating whether the obstruction is in the path of the access control member responsive to differences in amplitude between adjacent pulses in the sequence of pulses.
Opening/closing device
Provided is an opening/closing device that includes a structure for inhibiting a brake engage part or a lock engage part from touching an object or the like and that prevent the perimeter of a guide rail from becoming thick due to the structure. In an opening/closing device in which a brake engage part is caused to engage with a first engaged part by a close prevention device to put a brake on the closing operation of an opening/closing body, a space adjacent to the horizontal width direction end face of the opening/closing body and continuous in the opening/closing body opening/closing direction is ensured, the space is encompassed in the opening/closing body opening/closing direction by the horizontal width direction end face of the opening/closing body, the guide rail, and the support member, and a detach spot for the first engaged part and the brake engage part is arranged within the space.
Door driving device
A door driving device includes a driving unit driving a door that opens and closes an entrance of a vehicle having a door case, and a control unit controlling the driving unit such that the door moves with a discontinuous acceleration during a period from when the door starts to open to when the door moves at a constant speed in an opening direction in which the door is retracted into the door case.
Anti-pinch window control system and anti-pinch window control method
An anti-pinch window control system and an anti-pinch window control method are disclosed. The anti-pinch window control system includes a door panel, a glass window, a sound detection module, and a control module. When the glass window is closing, if a sound position of a sound on the glass window is close to an end portion of the glass window, the control module controls the glass window to stop closing. The sound on the glass window serves as the main judgment standard for the anti-pinch window control system, which can reduce the possibility of misjudgment.
OPENING AND CLOSING BODY CONTROL APPARATUS
An opening and closing body control apparatus includes a motor driving unit and a control unit. The motor driving unit outputs a predetermined application voltage to the motor, based on a control command from the control unit. The control unit is configured to: when an opening and closing body reaches a first position in front of a closing-up position, set a target speed of the motor to a closing-up time target speed at which a torque required for closing-up the opening and closing body is secured, and perform feedback control on the motor driving unit; and when the opening and closing body reaches a second position closer to the closing-up position than the first position, stop the feedback control, and control the motor driving unit so that the application voltage of the motor at the time is held.
Hinge stile gap blocking apparatus
This invention relates to a hinge stile gap blocking apparatus and to a method designed to prevent hand and finger injuries resulting from inadvertent door closures. The apparatus includes a pair of joined elongate members, each elongate member is joined to the other by an elastic band which extends through the opening of a door frame hinge stile gap with each joined elongate member residing on opposite sides of the hinge stile gap. The elongate members move when the door is pivoted, but are sufficiently tensioned against the hinge stile such that hands and fingers cannot be placed in the hinge stile gap when the door is open.
Anti-tearing retractable arm for a collection box
A retractable arm device, system, and method with a locking mechanism for preventing items placed in a device or receptacle from getting stuck, damaged, or torn. The retractable arm includes an inner tube, a pawl, and an outer tube surrounding the inner tube. The inner tube slides within the outer tube and the pawl preventing the retractable arm from moving into an extended position under particular conditions. The retractable arm may be placed in a receptacle for items to prevent the door from being reopened before the door is fully closed.
Hanging door stop
A door stop (2) which comprises: (i) a hanger part (4); and (ii) a door stop part (6) which in use hangs from the hanger part (4), the door stop part (6) being such that is comprises: (iii) a first door stop formation (8) for being positioned at a hinge side (10) of a door (12), and in a gap (14) between the door (12) and a door frame (16) for the door (12); and (iv) a second door stop formation (18) for being positioned at the hinge side (10) of the door (12), and in the gap (14) between the door (12) and the door frame (16) for the door (12), and wherein: (v) the first door stop formation (8) is below the second door stop formation (18) when the door stop part (6) hangs from the hanger part (4); (vi) the first door stop formation (8) is of a first door-stopping size which stops the door (12) in a first open position at a first open angle; (vii) the second door stop formation (18) is of a second door-stopping size which stops the door (12) in a second open position at a second open angle; (viii) the first open angle is larger than the second open angle; (ix) the first open position is for use by an adult; (x) the second open position is for use by a child; (xi) the first open position is such as to cause the gap to be of a first size; (xii) the second open position is such as to cause the gap to be of a second size; and (xiii) the gap of the first size and the gap of the second size are both such that the child cannot get their fingers trapped firstly between the door (12) and the door frame (16) at the hinge side (10) of the door (12), and secondly between the door (12) and the door frame (16) at a handle side of the door (12).
