Flexible cable durability
Apparatuses and systems can mitigate the ingress of debris such as small foreign particles or fluids passing into a joint of an electronic device. Some aspects of the systems prevent particles from passing between a flexible cable and a mandrel surface used to limit bending of the cable. Other aspects provide particle relief features including gaps, grooves, or reduced-size sections of the mandrel so that particles can pass into them and thereby cause no damage or pass out of the electronic device. Another aspect provides a protective layer configured to limit pressure applied to the cable by particles or other contaminants. These apparatuses and systems can improve the life and durability of the mandrel and cable, thereby improving the reliability of operating the electronic device.
EXTRUSION FOR MULTIPLE ELEMENTS
A safety edge bracket configured for fitment on a safety edge is provided. The safety edge bracket allows an elongated piece of weather strip to be attached over the safety edge to cushion the safety edge and to seal any gap between the edge and uneven flooring.
Vehicle Window Regulator with Window Protection System
A window regulator comprises: a carrier plate having a front surface and a rear surface, the carrier plate configured to be attached to a guide rail with the rear surface facing the guide rail; a first lifter attachment portion spaced from a second lifter attachment portion, the first lifter attachment portion and the second lifter attachment portion integral with the carrier plate and each having a lifter aperture configured to receive a window lifter; a flange extending at an angle along a length of an edge of the front surface of the carrier plate; and a window protection system proximate to the first lifter attachment portion and the second lifter attachment portion. At least a part of the window protection system is configured to extend beyond a distal edge of the flange in a front-facing direction.
Method and device for detecting the wear state of a component of a door drive system of a rail vehicle
A method detects the wear state of a component of a door drive system of a rail vehicle. The method includes reading a sequence of first motor parameters and second motor parameters, wherein the first motor parameters represent a different physical variable of a motor of the door drive system than the second motor parameters. The method additionally includes checking whether a value which represents the sequence of the first motor parameters satisfies a specified criterion in order to detect the wear state of the component of the door drive system.

SYSTEM AND METHOD OF A DOOR STOPPER AND WALL PROTECTOR
A surface protection device is provided comprising a shock-absorbent object characterized by a semi-spherical shape, a flat underside, and a flattened area at a topmost point of the object wherein the device attaches to one of a moving object and a stationary object. The device absorbs shock associated with the moving object making contact with the stationary object. The device is continuous and solid and is made of gelatinous synthetic material. The underside of the device is coated with adhesive material and attaches via the underside to the one of the moving object and the stationary object. The shock-absorbency of the device further absorbs noise associated with the contact of the objects and is substantially transparent and unobtrusive.
Hinge with Set Screws
A hinge with set screws is implemented which enables adjustments for a door without removing the hinge and installing a shim. The hinge's leafs are manufactured with one or more threaded holes that receive corresponding set, or adjustment, screws. The set screws enable adjustment of the hinge, when necessary. For example, the primary screws which connect the hinge to the door and frame may first be loosened to enable the user to utilize the set screws to adjust the door. The set screws can be loosened or tightened relative to the door or door framedepending on which leaf is being adjustedto adjust and provide the proper reveal between the door and the jamb. The set screws, therefore, enable door alignment without the use of a shim or cardboard. The use of the set screws can save valuable time in the construction industry in both commercial and residential settings.
HINGE ASSEMBLIES WITH SEALED GEAR UNITS
In one example, a hinge assembly is disclosed, which may include a first bracket, a second bracket, and at least one shaft to pivotally connect the first bracket and the second bracket. Further, the hinge assembly may include a gear unit coupled to the at least one shaft. Furthermore, the hinge assembly may include a sealant disposed around the gear unit to hold a viscous fluid.
CLOSING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CLOSING A DOOR
A method and a device for closing a door on a door opening of a vehicle are provided. The closing device includes a seal formed between the door and the door opening for separating an interior space and an exterior space from each other when the door is in a closed position. The device also includes a door drive for moving the door and a controller coupled to the door drive for controlling movement of the door based on an operating request of a user. The controller includes a condition monitoring unit configured to determine and use at least one variable state variable chosen from the group consisting of the device, the door, the door opening, and the installation environment of the door. The controller is configured to generate a value of at least one closing parameter for closing the door depending on the at least one variable state variable.
