20230093154 · 2023-03-23 ·

The present invention provides topical dosages and formulations of lidocaine and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, which are efficacious, chemically stable and physiologically balanced for safety and efficacy, particularly for debridement pain, and increase the duration of pain relief, and thereby provide more effective treatment to chronic open wounds, particularly those in non-mucosal tissue.

LIQUID DRESSING COMPOSITIONS AND THEIR VETERINARY USES
20230087131 · 2023-03-23 ·

Liquid dressing compositions liquid for veterinary use in the treatment or prevention of infection and/or wounds are described that comprise shellac, an anti-infective metal active and a solvent. The compositions are capable of forming a barrier when topically applied to a non-human animal subject, providing an easily applied barrier for protecting lesions and other wounds from external infective agents in a veterinary setting.

A dental device that provides for the entirely non-surgical management of early, cavitated dental lesions consisting of a ceramic wafer sized to cover the dental lesion and resin bonded to the tooth effectively encapsulating the dental lesion. The ceramic wafer may incorporate antimicrobial preparations, radiopaque markers, and/or silver diamine fluoride.

COMPOSITIONS INCLUDING AMELOGENIN AND USES THEREOF

Pharmaceutical compositions, more specifically poloxamer copolymer-based compositions and hyaluronic acid-based compositions, containing amelogenin, are useful for promoting periodontal or orthopedic soft or hard tissue regeneration, wound closure, and skin regeneration and rejuvenation. The composition can contain a non-biodegradable thermosensitive pharmaceutically acceptable poloxamer copolymer in an amount of 18% to 30% by weight; amelogenin in an amount of 0.005% to 3% by weight; a disaccharide in an amount of 0.05% to 5% by weight; and an amino acid selected from alanine, glycine, isoleucine, leucine, proline, valine, and a mixture thereof in an amount of 0.05% to 5% by weight.

AQUEOUS WOUND HEALING FORMULATION

The present invention relates to a water resistant wound cover with high comfort and good air permeability. In particular, the present invention relates to an aqueous wound healing formulation comprising a water-soluble or a water-dispersible polymeric material that does not sting when applied to a minor injury to the skin.

COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLED DRUG RELEASE FROM A TISSUE

A composition, comprising a hydrogel matrix and microparticles within said matrix, said matrix comprising a cross-linkable protein and a cross-linking agent, wherein said cross-linking agent is able to cross-link said cross-linkable protein, wherein said microparticles comprise a drug.

HEMOSTATIC AND WOUND HEALING TURMERIC-POLYMER COMPOSITE MATERIALS

A method and composite for treating a wound. A wound is sprayed with a composition that includes a volatile organic solvent, a biocompatible polymer and turmeric powder. The solvent evaporates during the spraying. The resulting composite stops bleeding instantly, can remain on the wound for prolonged periods and adheres with the wound, even under arterial pressure. The composite serves to promote wound healing and hemostasis in bleeding wounds.

Rapid-deposition thin-film forming compositions as effective wound care treatment

The present invention provides thin-film forming compositions comprising an antiseptic (e.g., povidone iodine, chlorhexidine, or octenidine), a non-aqueous solvent, and a film-forming material dissolved in the non-aqueous solvent, wherein the composition yields a continuous and flexible protective film upon substantial removal of the solvent. The compositions are useful for the treatment and prevention of infections in wounds, ulcers (e.g., decubitus ulcers and stasis ulcers), cuts, or burns, or against infections from bacterial, mycobacterial, viral, fungal, or amoeba causes, as well as for prevention of such infections in appropriate clinical settings (e.g., as liquid bandages or dressings). Additionally, the compositions of this invention are also useful for the treatment of infections and as a disinfectant skin preparation for pre- and/or post-surgical operations.
