Bi-fold door latch assembly
A latch assembly connected to the drive unit of a bi-fold door for retaining the bi-fold door secure to a building has elongated straps attached to rotatable latch drums mounted on the outer ends of the drive shaft of the drive unit. Lift drums powered by a motor driven gearbox raise and lower the bi-fold door. Latch assemblies having springs attached to the straps maintain tension on the straps during the opening and closing of the bi-fold door.
Frame assembly splice
A frame assembly supporting an overhead door has a horizontal header connected to upright columns or posts with splice assemblies. Fasteners mounted on the columns cooperate with retainers on the splice assemblies to position and connect the columns to the header. Hinge assemblies pivotally mount the door on the header for movement between open and closed positions.
DOOR OPERATOR SYSTEM
A door operator system (1) for opening and closing an opening (2), comprising a door frame (3) comprising a first frame section (4) at a first side (5) of the opening (2) and a second frame section (6) at a second side (7) of the opening (2) and a door (8) arranged to be moved between an open (O) and closed (C) position. The door (8) is connected to the door frame (3). A drive unit (10) mounted on the door (8), whereby the drive unit (10) is moveably connected to first frame section (4) and the drive unit (10) is moveably connected to the second frame section (6), the drive unit (10) comprising at least one motor (11) connected to at least one energy storage device (12) arranged to power the at least one motor (11), the drive unit (10) being arranged to move the door (8) from the closed position (C) to the open position (O). The door operator system (1) further comprises an energy transmitting device (13, 14) disposed in close proximity to the door (8) and an energy receiving device (81) mounted on the door (8), whereby the energy transmitting device (13, 14) is configured to wirelessly transmit energy to the energy receiving device (81) mounted to the door (8), whereby the energy receiving device (81) is operatively connected to the at least one energy storage device (12) for charging said energy storage device (12).

Overhead door frame assembly
An overhead door frame assembly has a horizontal header connected to tripod legs with splice assemblies. Each tripod leg has two upright columns connected to an upright I-bar. The splice assemblies connect the upright columns to the header. Hinges pivotally mount an overhead door to the header to allow hydraulic cylinders to move the overhead door to an open position and a closed position.
Method of forming a frame using a splice assembly
A frame assembly supporting an overhead door has a horizontal header connected to upright columns or posts with splice assemblies. Fasteners mounted on the columns cooperate with retainers on the splice assemblies to position and connect the columns to the header. Hinge assemblies pivotally mount the door on the header for movement between open and closed positions.
OVERHEAD DOOR FRAME ASSEMBLY
A frame for supporting a door has a horizontal header connected to tripod legs with splice assemblies. Each tripod leg has two upright columns connected to an upright I-bar. The splice assemblies are fastened to the upright columns.
TRIPOD LEG
An overhead door frame assembly has a horizontal header connected to tripod legs with splice assemblies. Each tripod leg has two upright columns connected to an upright I-bar. One of the splice assemblies is fastened to each upright column. Hinges pivotally mount an overhead door to the header to allow hydraulic cylinders to move the overhead door to an open position and a closed position.
Girder trolley
A device. The device includes a shaft having a longitudinal axis, a first end, and a second end. The device also includes a connector attached to the first end of the shaft. The device also includes a rod connected to the shaft. The rod comprises a third end and a fourth end. The third end is connected to the second end of the shaft. The rod is about parallel to the longitudinal axis. The device also includes a spring surrounding the rod. The spring is compressible or extendable along the longitudinal axis. The device also includes a stop connected to the rod at a position distal to the spring. The stop resists longitudinal compression or extension of the spring.
