A door tensioning system for an oven or other appliance includes a chain and spring assembled as a pull member attached at one end to a door and at an opposite end to a base member of the appliance in a manner maintaining spring-mediated tension between the door and the base/bulk of the appliance. The pull member is routed around a bracket-assembly-mounted pulley, where the bracket assembly includes at least one movable bracket member that is movable with the pulley in a manner that will increase or decrease tension in the pull member by increasing/decreasing its effective length between its ends.

APPLIANCE CONTROL USING E-FIELD GESTURE SENSOR MEASUREMENT

A controller device is provided that includes an e-field sensor that includes a transmitter electrode formed of a first conductive material, an isolation layer formed of a dielectric material to at least partially cover the transmitter electrode, a first receive electrode formed on the isolation layer of a second conductive material, and a second receive electrode formed on the isolation layer of the second conductive material, wherein the second receive electrode is a mirror image of the first receive electrode on the isolation layer. A gesture performance by a user within a sensing area of the e-field sensor is detected by comparing a received first signal to a received second signal. When an appliance component is responsive to the detected gesture, a control signal is sent to the appliance component indicating that the appliance component perform an action associated with the detected gesture.

FREEZER WITH RELEASABLE DOOR HINGES
20210025207 · 2021-01-28 ·

A freezer appliance includes a cabinet defining a food storage chamber. A door is positioned on the cabinet and is movable between a closed position and an open position. The door is rotatably and releasably coupled to the cabinet by a hinge. The hinge includes a first hinge arm fixed to one of the door or the cabinet, a second hinge arm pivotably joined with the first hinge arm, and a carrier fixed to the other of the door or the cabinet. The second hinge arm is releasably received in the carrier, such that the door is detachable from the cabinet.

SWING DOOR SYSTEM AND A FREEZER DEVICE

A swing door system for use with a freezer device is provided. The system includes two adjacent swing doors and a mullion in contact with the swing doors. Each swing door has a transparent pane and a non-transparent area. The non-transparent area is proximal to the mullion when the swing doors are in a closed position. The non-transparent areas and the mullion define a non-transparent region. The system has, under a horizontal viewing angle between 0 and 180 with respect to the plane in which the swing doors are arranged when the swing doors are in the closed position, all of the horizontal diameters of the non-transparent region are less than 100 mm.

DOOR HINGE DEVICE AND REFRIGERATOR HAVING DOOR HINGE DEVICE

A door hinge device comprises a hinge base and an auxiliary door-closing mechanism mounted on a door and fitted with the hinge base. The auxiliary door-closing mechanism comprises a shell, an elastic member for driving the door to be automatically closed during the door closing process, a sliding member, and a guiding member for guiding the sliding member to move in the deformation direction of the elastic member during the door opening and closing process. One end of the elastic member is connected to the shell, an accommodating part for accommodating the sliding member when the door is in a closed state and a guiding bevel obliquely extending forwards to approach the auxiliary door-closing mechanism are arranged on the periphery of the hinge base in a concave manner, and the sliding member is in a compressed state when moving along the guiding bevel.

Pull-out guide and domestic appliance

The invention relates to a pull-out guide, in particular for a domestic appliance or a piece of furniture, comprising a stationary guide rail and a running rail which is movably mounted on the guide rail. A damping device comprising a fluid damper which acts on one side is provided on the guide rail, said fluid damper having a damper housing and a piston rod which can be pushed into and drawn out of the damper housing. A first activator acts on the damping device shortly before reaching a closed position during a closing movement of the running rail in order to brake the movement of the running rail. A second activator acts on the damping device shortly before reaching the maximum open position during an opening movement of the running rail in order to brake the movement of the running rail. The pull-out guide is preferably used in a domestic appliance, in particular in a dishwasher.

Refrigerator Hinge
