Framing bracket and method of cladding building walls
A system, device and method of framing an opening, such as a window, in a clad fa?ade 12 structure to align the window units 22 to be positioned adjustably so that the exterior sight lines align the windows without custom fabrication of the clad fa?ade. This allows irregular variations in the original building structure to be eliminated by a perfectly aligned fa?ade. A frame 20 has wide flanges 40 to allow the defined inner box frame area 34 to be positioned and then the frame can be shimmed to that position. Sections of frame 20 are joined by an angled member 54 with flat portion which are received in slots 56 in frame sections at their edges.
DOOR ASSEMBLY
A door assembly and a frame member for a door assembly. The door assembly may include at least one door panel and a door frame having a plurality of frame members including a header and a pair of side jambs. The invention may also be considered a frame member. The frame member may include a core; and a top piece adjoining the core to form a structural member. The core and the top piece may be a composite of cellulosic material and at least one other material. The top piece may be a two-piece top piece and may include hollow cavities. Also disclosed are door jamb frame members and mullion frame members.
CONTINUOUS POCKET TRIM BOARD SYSTEM
A trim board is attachable to a mounting surface, and includes a base column extending therefrom. An attachment flange extends from the base column, adjacent to the mounting surface, toward a siding area. A cover ledge extends from the base column, offset from the mounting surface, toward the siding area. A pocket is defined between the cover ledge and the nailing flange, and extends continuously along the siding area and is configured to receive a siding element. The trim board includes an overhang member extending from the base column toward a wall opening defined through the mounting surface. A biscuit slot is defined in the overhang, extends continuously along the wall opening, and is configured to receive a biscuit tab. The attachment flange creates a first restraint point for the trim board, and the biscuit slot creates a second restraint point for the trim board.
DOOR PANEL AND DOOR PANEL CONNECTION ASSEMBLY FOR A PATIO DOOR
A patio door or at least a door panel or a door panel frame for a patio door is provided. The patio door has two panels, wherein one is an active panel (i.e. a sliding panel) and another one is a stationary panel (i.e. a fixed panel). The door panels include at least four elongated door frame members configurable to define rectangular door panels frame with a longitudinal axis and a transversal axis. There is also provided a tightening connector assembly, a connector body with a weatherstrip receiving channel and a door panel connection assembly. The tightening connector assembly includes a connector body having a first and second frame segments extending along a tightening axis and an insert receiving cavity defined therein, the first and second frame segments being engageable with two of the at least four elongated door frame members. The tightening connector assembly also includes a tightening insert engageable in the insert receiving cavity of the connector body.
CONNECTOR SYSTEM, APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR A DOOR FRAME ASSEMBLY
A system, device, assembly and methods for a frame assembly, including a connector as shown and described. The assembly may be a door frame assembly and may, by way of example, be a doorjamb and/or a door mullion including a connector. A connector may provide stability to the assembly.
Door frames with energy absorbing door stops
Described are trimless door frames and energy absorbing door stops. The energy absorbing door stop allows for relative movement between the door stop and the surrounding door frame. The relative movement of the energy absorbing door stop helps to distribute and dissipate forces and vibrations from opening and closing a door, reducing the levels of force transferred into the surrounding wall. The reduction in forces applied to the wall allows for the elimination of heavy door framing and trim. Since door trim is no longer necessary, trimless door frames may be installed with a smooth appearance without cracks appearing in the surrounding wall due to stress or fatigue.
Adjustable frame with a thermal break
A frame may comprise three or more portions comprising an upper portion disposed adjacent an upper end of an opening and two side portions disposed along either edge of the opening, and in some cases a lower portion adjacent a lower end of an opening. A first frame segment and the second frame segment are adjustable with respect to each other in order to extend around the thickness of the opening. A third segment, such as a soffit segment may be utilized to cover at least a portion of the segments. The first frame segment, the second frame segment, and/or the soffit segment may have one or more barriers located between portions of the segments. The first frame segment may be adjusted with respect to the second frame segment, and the adjustment may be made before or after activation of the one or more barriers.
FRAME PROFILE WITH MULTIFUNCTION CHANNEL FOR DOOR JAMBS
A frame profile is an elongated extrusion having a consistent cross section along its length which can be cut to required lengths for forming side jambs and/or a head jamb of a door. The frame profile includes a base plate having a first face, a second face, a first side edge and a second side edge. There is a first formation extending from the first face adjacent the first side edge, and a second formation extending from the first face close to the second side edge. The second formation is spaced from the first formation to define a main channel therebetween. The second formation includes a trim receiving space for receiving a trim board therein.
Foam envelope for sealing large volumes
An article comprises a tube and at least one thermoplastic pouch inserted within the tube wherein the tube comprises an upper section, a lower section, an inner section and an outer section, the tube comprises an inner layer and an outer layer, the inner layer being a semipermeable membrane that is permeable to vapors but impermeable to liquids and the outer layer being a nonwoven fabric, the tube has a plurality of holes that penetrate through the inner and outer layers of the upper section and/or lower section of the tube, the pouch is located within the tube such that it contacts the lower and inner sections of the tube and the pouch contains a foamable composition.
