Sealing Tape Roll
A sealing tape roll which comprises barrier layers extending in the radial direction that are arranged axially between layers of foam and consist of a sealing element wound up into the sealing tape roll. The sealing element includes at least three sealing tape sections which are arranged next to each other in a functional direction of the sealing element. First and second barrier layer sections are each arranged between two adjacent sealing tape sections and parallel to the side surfaces of the sealing element. The first and second barrier layer sections each comprise two legs connected to each other. The legs of the first barrier layer section are connected to each other in an area of the bottom surface of the sealing element and the legs of the second barrier layer section are connected to each other in an area of the top surface of the sealing element.
Sealing Element
A sealing element of flexible foam which includes at least three sealing tape sections which are arranged next to each other in a functional direction of the sealing element. At least one first barrier layer section and at least one second barrier layer section are each accommodated between two adjacent sealing tape sections. The barrier layer sections connect the adjacent sealing tape sections to each other. The first barrier layer section forms a loop in an area of the bottom surface of the sealing element and the second barrier layer section forms a loop in an area of the top surface of the sealing element.
Method for the Production of a Sealing Tape Roll
A method for the production of a sealing tape roll of flexible, compressible foam with at least one barrier layer extending in the radial direction, which is arranged axially between two layers of foam. The method includes providing a foam web of a flexible foam; applying a first barrier layer to a first surface of the foam web; and introducing at least one first cut into the first surface of the foam web and introducing at least one second cut into a second surface of the foam web opposite the first surface to form parallel sealing tape strips. A connecting section remains between two adjacent sealing tape strips. The sealing tape strips are then folded over in the area of the connecting sections to produce a foam-barrier layer web, and the foam-barrier layer web is wound up into a sealing tape roll.
Method for the production of a sealing tape roll
A method for the production of sealing tape rolls of flexible, compressed foam with at least one barrier layer extending in a radial direction thereof, the barrier layer arranged axially between two layers of the foam, comprises the following steps: providing a foam web of flexible foam; introducing at least one cut into the foam web in a longitudinal direction thereof to form parallel foam strips; introducing film strips, adhesive tape strips, and/or an adhesive liquid medium into the intermediate spaces between each pair of adjacent foam strips produced by the cuts; bonding all of the foam strips together to produce a foam-barrier layer web; winding up the foam-barrier layer web into an intermediate roll; and cutting the intermediate roll at one or more points in an axial direction thereof to produce a plurality of sealing tape rolls, which are less wide than the intermediate roll.
A sealing member for use between a flashing member and a roofing material, a flashing kit including such a sealing member, and a method for weather proofing the joint between a roof of a building and a roof penetrating structure
A sealing member for use between a flashing member and a roofing material is made of a compressible material and with slits and/or weakening sections extending into the sealing member from the exterior surface towards the interior surface, each slit and/or weakening section extending from one side surface to the other side surface. In one embodiment the slits and/or weakening sections extend in parallel planes, each plane being substantially parallel to the height direction and extending at an angle of 15-75 degrees to the length direction of the sealing member, preferably an angle of 45 degrees. In use the sealing member is arranged on a flashing member and a roofing material is arranged to rest on the sealing member and compress one or more sections of the sealing member. If the sealing member includes weakening sections, at least one of these is at least partially broken when the sealing member is compressed.
Method for the production of a sealing tape roll
A method for producing a sealing tape roll of flexible, compressed foam with at least one barrier layer extending in a radial direction thereof, the at least one barrier layer arranged axially between two layers of foam, comprises assembling and bonding of at least one first foam strip, which is provided on at least one of its side surfaces with a film strip, an adhesive tape strip, or an adhesive liquid medium, to at least one second foam strip in such a way that a foam-barrier layer web is obtained, in which at least one barrier layer originating from the film strip, the adhesive tape strip, or the adhesive liquid medium is arranged between adjacent foam strips. The foam-barrier layer web is then wound up into a sealing tape roll.
Sealing element for sealing joints in the area of windows
A sealing element for sealing joints and the intermediate space between an inner wall, an outer wall shell and a window frame includes (1) a first block-shaped sealing element section of a first flexible foam having a first indentation hardness and (2) a second web-shaped sealing element section which projects from an edge area of the first sealing element section, the second sealing element section including at least one sealing strip which is a second flexible foam having a second indentation hardness, the first indentation hardness being at least 1.5 times greater than the second indentation hardness.
Sealing tape
The sealing tape includes at least one base body of flexible foam capable of recovery after compression. In the area of the bottom surface of the sealing tape, an adhesive layer for bonding to a frame profile of a window or door is arranged. The sealing tape has a continuous barrier structure for reducing the permeability to the diffusion of water vapor and/or the permeability to air in the functional direction of the sealing tape, the barrier structure extends from the top surface to the bottom surface and also extends over an area of the top surface. The barrier structure includes, at least in the area of the top surface, a closed-cell flexible foam or consists of closed-cell flexible foam. The barrier structure, at least in the area of the top surface of the sealing tape, has a thickness of between 10 m and 5 mm.
Sealing tape
The sealing tape has an elastically recoverable foam strip and a strip-like element, which is arranged underneath the foam strip. The strip-like element has greater flexural strength than the foam strip and has two predetermined fold points, so that two side sections of the strip-like element can be bent downward in different directions at the two predetermined fold points.
Precompressed sealing tape
The precompressed sealing tape for sealing a joint has an elastically re-expandable foam strip. The sealing tape also has a sheet-like wrapping, which at least partially surrounds the foam strip, and a strip-like element, which is arranged in the area of a lower transverse surface of the foam strip and which has greater flexural strength than the foam strip. A first section of the sheet-like wrapping is arranged between the lower transverse surface of the foam strip and the strip-like element.
