Corner flashing for a window or door opening
A corner section for installing a window or door frame in a sealing system is disclosed. The corner section has a corner region of a trough or a tanking, i.e., it is open on two sides and bent upwards on two sides to form a tanking. When installed, the corner region encloses a corner of a window frame or door frame and is in contact with the reveal. The open sides are positioned in horizontal window direction and face the outside of the reveal. The corner section ensures that the system is sealed against driving rain and provides for a second water-drainage level in the system.
SILL PAN ASSEMBLY FOR DOOR SYSTEMS AND METHOD OF INSTALLATION
Features for systems and methods of providing a sill pan for door systems are described. More specifically, features for systems and methods for flashing and sealing around exterior door systems such as pocket doors, stacking doors, French doors, and traditional sliding doors.
Sealing element
A sealing element of flexible foam which includes at least three sealing tape sections which are arranged next to each other in a functional direction of the sealing element. At least one first barrier layer section and at least one second barrier layer section are each accommodated between two adjacent sealing tape sections. The barrier layer sections connect the adjacent sealing tape sections to each other. The first barrier layer section forms a loop in an area of the bottom surface of the sealing element and the second barrier layer section forms a loop in an area of the top surface of the sealing element.
Window trim system
A first section is in facing contact with an exterior surface of a building. A second section is bent to extend exteriorly from the exterior surface at 90 degrees from the first section. A third section is bent at 90 degrees from the second section. A fourth section is bent at 180 degrees from the third section. A portion of the fourth section is in facing contact with the third section. A fifth section extends laterally and interiorly from the fourth section at an acute angle. A sixth section extends laterally from the fifth section parallel with the first and third and fourth sections. A seventh section is bent to extend interiorly at 90 degrees from the sixth section.
Sill pan assembly for pocket door systems and method of installation
Multi-piece, flexible, sill pan assemblies and methods of installation are disclosed. Method of installation of a sill pan assembly for pocket door systems such as single- and double-door versions as well as multi-panel pocket doors. The sill pan assembly has a first flexible end dam member, a second flexible end dam member, a flexible outside corner member, and a flexible insert. Methods of installation of a sill pan assembly for a double-pocket door. The sill pan assembly having a first flexible end dam member, a second flexible end dam member, a first flexible outside corner member, a second flexible outside corner member, and a flexible insert.
Expandable Flashing Device and System
An expandable flashing device comprises first and second pieces of flashing material that overlap one another with hems or folded edges located on opposite lateral sides of the pieces that hold the pieces together, yet allow the pieces to slide or shift with respect to one another to selectively change the length of the device. In a first stowed position, the pieces overlap one another and in an expanded second position, the pieces may be pulled apart to increase an overall length of the pieces. The maximum length of material that overlaps between the pieces is defined as the overlap range. The overlap range defines the range to which the device can be shortened or lengthened to fit a particular installation. A flashing system and a method of installing flashing are also disclosed.
FLASHING SYSTEM, APPARATUS AND METHODOLOGY
Systems, components, apparatuses and methodologies of the present invention are directed to techniques that ensure that all deck-to-wall, roof-to-wall and other constructions properly protect the home from the environment, particularly along the wetter coastal regions by forming a layered, waterproof seal of metal, plastic and bitumen. A modularized system of components, that overlap each other either over and or under to create a system that meets the design criteria of critical flashing components, each with waterproofing capability either built-in or applied onsite in use, are employed to cover critical building areas prone to water infiltration and damage.
NAIL SEALABLE MULTILAYERED FILM
A multilayer film is provided. The film includes a first inert layer, a first tie layer, a nail sealable layer, a second tie layer, and a second inert layer. Where, the nail sealable layer is between the first tie layer and the second tie layer, the first tie layer is between the first inert layer and the nail sealable layer, the second tie layer is between the second inert layer and the nail sealable layer, and the total film thickness is between 0.002 inch and 0.010 inch.
Compound fenestration assembly mull joints and methods
Compound fenestration assembly mull joints, compound fenestration assemblies using those mull joints, and methods of making and using the same are described herein. The mull joints in compound fenestration assemblies as described herein use universal joining strips to form both sides of a mull joint, as well as other universal components such as, e.g., corner gussets, locator plates, end plugs, seal members, etc. that may be used as needed to form mull joints as required in a compound fenestration assembly.
