Invisible sill—thermally broken
There is included an intermediate element including one or more, but not necessarily limited to, an L-shaped profiled portion configured to receive a part of a panel of a door or window, a pad configured to be fit into at least one frame part and comprising a support strip groove, and an intermediate element extended from the L-shaped portion to the pad.
STRUCTURAL MEMBERS FOR WINDOWS
A structural member for a window comprising two extrusions spaced apart and coupled to each other using an insulating coupler extending at least 40 mm apart to form the structural member and hinder thermal bridging. A stiffener extends inside the structural member between the extrusions to stiffen the structural member and comprises two spaced apart ends engaged with the two extrusions, respectively. The two ends are coupled to each other using an insulating stiffener coupler to support the stiffener and hinder thermal bridging. A method of forming a thermally broken structural member.
WATER MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS FOR FENESTRATION PRODUCTS
A flashing includes a first edge, a second edge opposite from the first edge, a first surface, and a second surface on an opposite side of the flashing from the first surface. The first surface and the second surface extend between the first edge and the second edge. The first surface includes a hydrophobic region and a hydrophilic region.
Fenestration units with spacer blocks and methods of manufacturing the same
Fenestration units with spacer blocks and methods of manufacturing the same are described herein. The fenestration units may include shim wedges that cooperate with the spacer blocks to raise the fenestration unit within a rough opening.
Structural windowsill assembly
A windowsill assembly includes a beam member and an insert bracket. The beam member includes a first leg and a second leg, the first leg meeting the second leg at a joining region at proximal ends of the first leg and the second leg. The insert bracket includes a first portion and a second portion that are substantially perpendicular to each other to substantially match an angle between the first leg and the second leg of the beam member. The insert bracket couples the beam member to a support member.
FRAME ASSEMBLY
Systems and methods for providing a universal window frame assembly. A window frame assembly can include a plurality of frame members, wherein at least one of the frame members comprises a first profile frame member and at least one of the other frame members comprises a second profile frame member. The at least one first profile frame member and the at least one second profile frame member seat together to form the frame assembly. Head and side jamb members of a window frame can have a common first profile, and a sill jamb member can have a second profile. The frame members can be connected with corner keys configured to engage one or more openings in the first and second profiles. The sill jamb member can provide a sill slope angle.
Corner flashing insert for recessed windows
A corner flashing insert including a one-piece, pre-formed flashing with an outside wall, a recessed jamb leg in the vertical plane and a recessed sill leg in the horizontal plane, the recessed sill leg in the horizontal plane having a rear surface, the recessed jamb leg in the vertical plane having a first vertical height with a first distance from a top of the jamb leg in the vertical plane to the rear surface of the recessed sill leg in the horizontal plane. The corner flashing insert also includes a recessed back leg in the vertical plane having a second vertical height with a second distance from where the recessed back leg in the vertical plane joins the recessed jamb leg in the vertical plane to the rear surface of the recessed sill leg in the horizontal plane. The first vertical height is greater than the second vertical height.
SILL WITH DETACHABLE WATER DRAINAGE TROUGH FOR HIGH DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE PERFORMANCE
A sill assembly for a door or window frame includes an elongate sill body with a water catchment tray and one or more drainage passages extending from the catchment tray to an outlet, and a drainage trough mounted to an underside of the sill body and depending downwardly therefrom to define a reservoir that receives water that drains from the outlet of the drainage passages. The drainage trough includes weep holes which restrict outflow from the reservoir and is detachable from the sill body, which facilitates the manufacture of the sill assembly in different configurations to suit site requirements.
ADJUSTABLE JAMB EXTENSION
Disclosed is a window or door frame assembly having a jamb extension coupling a window or door frame. The window or door frame has a longitudinal member having a surface defining a channel formed along the length of the longitudinal member. A jamb extension having a first face and a second face, a plurality of spaced apart grooves formed on the first face and extending along the length of the jamb extension, with the jamb extension configured to matingly engage the channel. A tooth coupled to the longitudinal member and configured to engage one of the plurality of grooves for coupling the jamb extension to the window or door frame. Also disclosed are kits and process for the window or door frame assembly.
UNITIZED CURTAIN WALL SYSTEM FOR PASSIVE HOUSE STANDARD
A unitized curtain wall system includes pre-assembled, pre-glazed aluminum framed curtain wall units. Vertical mullion components and top and bottom horizontal rail components interconnect adjacent curtain wall panels. The curtain wall units are suspended from one or more upper anchors installed on an upper floor slab. The bottom horizontal rail components are engaged with top horizontal rail components of adjacent, lower curtain wall units forming a continuous beam scheme for vertical mullion components and configured to accept lateral loads. The gravity loads of curtain wall units are supported by one or more floor anchors. Organic shaped insulating forms are disposed laterally between top and bottom horizontal rail components of adjacent curtain wall panels. The forms are compressible to permit flexing vertical movement of the curtain wall units while reducing air movement in a horizontal cavity formed between the top and bottom horizontal rail components forming a stack joint.
