Shower Door System with Gravity Hinge
20200256107 · 2020-08-13 · ·

A shower door and hinge assembly comprising a glass shower door, a sloping sill, a sill angle adapter, upper and lower horizontal door frame rails, and upper and lower shower door hinges where the lower hinge is a gravity style hinge featuring a self-closing action, is presented. The hinges of the present invention shower door and hinge assembly attach only to horizontal edge surfaces of the glass door. The hinges do not attach to any vertical surface of the door.

Jacking screw for adjusting a window frame

Embodiments described herein may be directed to the functional application and method of use of a jacking screw for adjusting a window frame. In accordance with the present disclosure, adjusting the jacking screw may cause a first portion of the window frame to be lifted or lowered with respect to a second portion of the window frame. In doing so, a desired alignment of a window installed in the window frame may be achieved. This process may eliminate the use of shimming the underlying surface, thereby making it easier to install the window frame on surfaces that are not perfectly level.

A threshold includes a substantially vertically upstanding nosing extending along a longitudinal axis of the threshold and a substantially vertically upstanding dam spaced from and substantially parallel to the upstanding nosing. A threshold cap is disposed at least partially across a gap between the upstanding nosing and the upstanding dam. A support, which supports the threshold cap, is located at least partially within the gap. The threshold cap is adjustable between at least a raised position and a lowered position. The threshold cap is biased toward the raised position when the door panel of the entryway is in an open position. The threshold cap pivots about a pivot axis parallel with the longitudinal axis. The pivot axis is not a central axis of the threshold cap.

Structural members for windows

A structural member for a window comprising two extrusions spaced apart and coupled to each other using an insulating coupler extending at least 40 mm apart to form the structural member and hinder thermal bridging. A stiffener extends inside the structural member between the extrusions to stiffen the structural member and comprises two spaced apart ends engaged with the two extrusions, respectively. The two ends are coupled to each other using an insulating stiffener coupler to support the stiffener and hinder thermal bridging. A method of forming a thermally broken structural member.

Threshold assembly having a rail with a drainage wall defining a drainage passageway

A threshold assembly is used with an entryway system disposed within an aperture of a structure. The threshold assembly includes a sill extending along an axis between exterior and interior sides. The sill at least partially defines a sill channel between the exterior and interior sides which is adapted for accepting a fluid. The threshold assembly includes a rail coupled to and disposed above the sill base. The rail has a drainage wall adjacent the exterior side and at least partially defining the sill channel. The rail at least partially defines a rail channel between the exterior and interior sides, and above the sill channel, which is adapted for accepting the fluid. The rail defines a channel passageway. The drainage wall defines a drainage passageway. The rail channel, the channel passageway, the sill channel, and the drainage passageway at least partially define a drainage plane.

DOCKING SYSTEM BETWEEN VEHICLE AND BUILDING AND CONTROL METHOD THEREFOR

A docking system between a vehicle and a building and a control method therefor include an entrance frame configured to extend in a direction towards a vehicle door, an external door provided at a side of the vehicle door to be opened, an internal door spaced from the external door and provided at a side of the building to be opened, and a sealing unit inserted into the entrance frame to be provided between the external door and the internal door, and configured to selectively extend in the direction toward the vehicle door to connect an internal space of the vehicle and an indoor space of the building into one space.
