Frame solution providing reduced deflection restriction at corner parts of VIG unit
A vacuum insulated glass (VIG) unit frame assembly (10) is disclosed, comprising: a rectangular vacuum insulated glass unit (1) comprising two glass sheets (2a, 2b) separated by a sealed gap (11), wherein a plurality of support structures (12) are distributed in said gap (11), and a frame (20) comprising elongated frame profile arrangements (20a-20d) which frames said vacuum insulated glass unit (1) in a frame opening (21), and wherein said frame (20) comprises a fixation system (45a, 45b, 28a, 28b, 80, 22, 23) fixating the vacuum insulated glass unit (1) at the frame (20), wherein said fixation system (45a, 45b, 28a, 28b, 80, 22, 23) is arranged so as to allow edges (8a-8d) of said vacuum insulated glass unit (1) to thermally deflect (DIS4) in a deflection direction (D1, D2) perpendicular to said frame opening due to a temperature difference (ΔT=T1−T2) between the two glass sheets (2a, 2b), wherein said fixation system (45a, 45b, 28a, 28b, 80, 22, 23) is configured to allow the magnitude of said thermal deflection (DIS4) to vary along the edge (8a-8d) between the corners (9) where the respective edge (8a-8d) terminates, wherein said fixation system (45a, 45b, 28a, 28b, 80, 22, 23) is arranged to provide a resistance against said thermal deflection (DIS4) of at least two opposing edges (8a-8d) of said vacuum insulated glass unit (1), said resistance being substantially lower at corner parts of the edges (8a-8d) than at centre parts of the edges (8a-8d), and wherein said centre parts of said at least two opposing, parallel edges (8a-8d) constitute at least a third, such as half of the extend of the edge (8a-8d) between said corners (9).
Wall connection system
A wall connection system is disclosed, which includes a horizontal building frame component with a first vertical face that has a first slot. The system further includes a prefabricated wall structure with a plurality of parallel studs and an elongate member connect to each stud. The elongate member has a second vertical face with a second slot and is parallel to the first vertical face. The long axis of the first slot is perpendicular to the long axis of the second slot. A fastener assembly connects the horizontal building frame component to the wall structure, through the slots.

The dynamic multi-pane insulating assembly and system includes first and second gas permeable panes defining an evacuated gap in communication with a vacuum source; a first exterior pane spaced from the first gas permeable pane defining a first pressurized gap in communication with a source of pressurized gas; and a second exterior pane spaced from the second gas permeable pane defining a second pressurized gap in communication with the source of pressurized gas.

In certain embodiments, a system includes a curtain wall member and a first curtain wall member mounting apparatus coupled to a first end of the curtain wall member. The first curtain wall member mounting apparatus includes a mounting plate and an arm having one or more projections. The first curtain wall member mounting apparatus engages with a first curtain wall member supporting channel having a vertically-disposed member and a horizontally-disposed supporting member having a receiving-and-retaining member extending from an end opposite the vertically-disposed member. The receiving-and-retaining member engages with a channel adjacent to one or more projections of the first curtain wall member mounting apparatus. The first curtain wall member mounting apparatus is adapted to be rotated into position such that a connection mechanism at a second end of the curtain wall member engages with a second curtain wall member supporting channel to retain the curtain wall member in position.

UNITIZED CURTAINWALL SYSTEMS AND METHODS
This document discusses, among other things, unitized curtain systems and methods related to the fabrication and installation of curtainwalls. A curtainwall unit may comprises a frame including a horizontal gutter, a horizontal sill, a first vertical mullion between a first end of the horizontal gutter and a second end of the horizontal sill, and a second vertical mullion between a second end of the horizontal gutter and a second end of the horizontal sill. The horizontal gutter may include a rear channel extending across the horizontal gutter, and at least one protected horizontal channel at least partially beneath the rear channel, the rear channel having at least one opening to the at least one horizontal gutter. Each vertical mullion may include a protected vertical chamber having an opening to the at least one protected horizontal channel.
APERTURE COVER WITH OVERLAPPING VIG UNIT AND CONNECTION PROFILE CONNECTED TO STRUCTURAL FRAME MEMBER
The present disclosure relates to an aperture cover such as a window or a door. The aperture cover comprises a vacuum insulated glass unit (3), and a frame (2, 17) such as a sash. The frame (2, 17) comprises elongated structural frame members (8) which together encloses a frame opening (2a). The vacuum insulated glass unit (3) overlaps (18) at least one of the elongated structural frame members (8) so that the edge surface (7) of the vacuum insulated glass unit (3) extends beyond the outer side surface (14) of the overlapped elongated structural frame member (8). The frame (2) moreover comprises an elongated connection profile (6) comprising a connection wall member (6a) which extends parallel to the overlapped structural frame member (8) and is connected to at least one of the outer major surfaces (S1, S2) of the vacuum insulated glass unit (3), and the elongated connection profile (6) comprises a fixation member (6b) which is connected to the overlapped structural frame member (8).

Herein is disclosed a vacuum insulated glass (VIG) unit frame assembly (10) comprising: a rectangular vacuum insulated glass unit (1) comprising two glass sheets (2a, 2b) separated by a sealed gap (11) comprising a plurality of support structures (12), and a frame arrangement (20) comprising a fixation system (6, 40) fixating the vacuum insulated glass unit (1) at the frame arrangement (20), wherein said fixation system (6, 40) is arranged so as to allow edges (8a-8d) of said vacuum insulated glass unit (1) to thermally deflect (DIS1, DIS2) in a deflection direction (D1, D2) perpendicular to a frame opening plane (P2) due to a temperature difference (ΔT=T1−T2) between the two glass sheets (2a, 2b), wherein said fixation system (6, 40) is configured so as to allow the magnitude of said thermal deflection (DIS1, DIS2) is configured to vary along the edge (8a-8d) between the corners (9) where the respective edge (8a-8d) terminates.
BUILDING APERTURE COVER WITH VIG UNIT CONNECTED TO FIXATION PROFILE
The present disclosure relates to an aperture covering, such as a building aperture covering. The aperture covering comprises a VIG unit 3 and a frame. The frame (2) comprises elongated fixation profiles (6) each of which are fixed to and arranged parallel to an elongated structural frame member (8). The fixation profile (6) comprises a fixation wall (6a) which extends opposite to an exterior major surface (S1) of the vacuum insulated glass unit (3) and is fixed to the exterior major surface (S1) of the vacuum insulated glass unit (3) by means of a bonding seal (9). The fixation profile (6) comprises a connection member (6b) extending from the fixation wall (6a), wherein the connection member (6b) is fixed to the elongated, structural frame member (8). The elongated structural member (8) faces the opposite interior major surface (S2) of the vacuum insulated glass unit (3) placed opposite to the exterior major surface (S1) of the vacuum insulated glass unit.
FRAME SOLUTION FOR LAMINATED VIG UNIT
The present disclosure relates to a vacuum insulated glass (VIG) unit frame assembly (10), wherein said vacuum insulated glass unit frame assembly (1) comprises: a frame (20) comprising elongated frame profile arrangements (20a-20d, 70) which frames a vacuum insulated glass unit (1) in a frame opening (21), wherein said vacuum insulated glass unit (1) comprises at least two glass sheets (2a, 2b) separated by a gap (11) between said glass sheets (2a, 2b), wherein a plurality of support structures (12) are distributed in said gap (11), and wherein said gap (11) is sealed by means of a sealing system (1b, 1c) which seals an evacuation hole (1a) arranged in a first (2a) of said glass sheets and extending to the gap (11). A lamination glass sheet (14) is attached to an outer major surface (4a) of said first glass sheet (2a) by means of a lamination layer (16), and wherein said sealing system (1c) extends into a hole (14a) in the lamination glass sheet (14), and the edge (8a-8c) of the vacuum insulated glass unit (1) proximate the hole (14a) in the lamination glass sheet (14), said sealing system (1c) and said hole in the lamination glass sheet (14) into which the sealing system (1c) extends are covered by the frame (20). The disclosure additionally relates to a retrofitting frame system (100) and a laminated vacuum insulated glass unit (1).
