Vacuum glazing and method for manufacturing the same
A vacuum glazing includes a vacuum layer formed between a first glazing and a second glazing, a spacer provided in the vacuum layer, a frame provided at edge portions of the first and second glazings, and a sealant interposed between the frame and surfaces of the first and second glazings to perform sealing of the vacuum layer. The insulating performance of the vacuum glazing is improved.
Profiled component for the production of frames
The profiled component (1) for the production of frames comprises: a profiled element (2) comprising a longitudinal channel (3) adapted to at least partly contain a substantially sheet-shaped panel (4) and to surround at least partly, the longitudinal channel (3) defining a coupling plane (5) for the insertion of the panel (4) inside the profiled element (2); two seal elements (6) adapted to hermetically seal the longitudinal channel (3), associated with the profiled element (2) by means of connection means (7) and comprising a first corner (8) adapted to hermetically adhere onto the panel (4);
wherein the seal element (6) comprises a lever edge (28) which is shaped to come into contact with the panel (4) during the insertion of the panel (4) inside the longitudinal channel (3) to displace the seal element (6) between: a home configuration, wherein the panel (4) is outside the longitudinal channel (3) and the first corner (8) is moved away from the coupling plane (5); and a coupling configuration, wherein the panel (4) is inside the longitudinal channel (3) and the first corner (8) is approached to the coupling plane (5) and pressed to adhere hermetically to the panel (4).
Customizable Window System for Coastal Weather Protection
A window system for use in windows, sliding glass doors, skylights, casement windows and other openings in a building. The window system enables different windows of the same building to be individually customized for different impacts of coastal area weather and security concerns and also have the same external appearance despite employing various window protection steps. Panels, interior or exterior, are secured to the header and sill. Windows may be covered with exterior panels or include interior panels or impact resistant glass when the window is high on the building, or where security is a concern Windows including casement windows and other building penetrations may also accommodate interior panels, in combination with exterior protection. The window framing may have a uniform exterior appearance, notwithstanding different levels of protection.
WINDOW OR DOOR ELEMENT PROVIDED WITH CONNECTION PINS
A window or door element includes a frame and an insulated glazing unit removably disposed in the frame, the insulated glazing unit including at least one first electrical connection pin and the frame including at least one second electrical connection pin, the at least one first electrical connection pin of the insulated glazing unit being in electrical contact with the at least one second electrical connection pin of the frame when the insulated glazing unit is inserted into the frame.
DOOR STILE AND DOORWAY JAMB SYSTEM AND METHOD
A stile system to support a door or other types of panels is provided. The doors and/or panels may include frameless glass panes. The stile system may include a longitudinal channel into which the side of the door may be received and secured. The system may include a clamping assembly that may provide clamping forces onto the opposing lateral surfaces of the door within the longitudinal channel to secure it therein. The clamping assembly may be controlled by a controlling assembly in combination with the housing to provide inward forces to the clamping members to secure the panel. The stile system also includes a unitizing gasket configured to hold the elements of the clamping assembly in place during the system's assembly and use.
INSULATING GLAZING UNIT
An insulating glazing unit is provided, including: a first glass pane and a second glass pane; an intermediate glass pane; a first spacer and a second spacer; and a holder holding together the first glass pane, the second glass pane, the intermediate glass pane, the first spacer, and the second spacer. In the insulating glazing unit, a thickness of the intermediate glass pane is less than the first glass pane and the second glass pane, too and a composition of the intermediate glass pane is different from the first glass pane the second glass pane.
LIGHTING DEVICE, WINDOW WITH A LIGHTING FUNCTION, AND BUILDING PRODUCT FOR A WINDOW
A lighting device includes a first light source to emit first light; a diffuser to receive the first light and emits first scattered light; and a frame to support the first light source and the diffuser. The the diffuser includes nanoparticles, and guides the received first light, scatters it with the nanoparticles, and emits it as the first scattered light. The diffuser includes an incident surface to receive the first light, a first surface on which an emission surface to emit the first scattered light is formed, and a second surface opposite the first surface. The incident surface is at a first edge portion of the diffuser, the frame is opened to expose at least a portion of a region on the first surface of the diffuser in which the emission surface is formed and a region on the second surface corresponding thereto.
BIODEGRADABLE INSULATING FILM KIT
In an aspect, an insulation kit for insulating an interior side of a window is provided. The window includes a window pane and a window frame having a window aperture in which the window pane is mounted, and at least one surface on the interior side of the window which extends around an exterior edge of the window aperture. The insulation kit includes a adhesive member and a sheet of insulating, biodegradable film sized to be mounted to a surface of the window frame by the adhesive member so as to cover the window aperture, and being heat shrinkable to form an airtight seal, insulating the window pane on the interior side of the window. The sheet of film is constructed to be mounted to the at least one surface of the window frame for a period of at least four months before degradation of the film occurs.
Frame assembly for windows and sliding doors
A frame assembly, for use in window and door applications configured to retain a panel, comprising a frame with a cover assembly and a support assembly having a track assembly, and a sill assembly and a header assembly both interconnected to a securing surface. The cover assembly is interconnected to the support assembly. The sill assembly comprises a roller member disposed in supporting relation to the track assembly, and the header assembly is disposed in supporting relation to the support assembly so that the frame is movable relative to both the header assembly and the sill assembly. At least a portion of the frame comprises a predetermined thickness and a predetermined width. The predetermined thickness is substantially less than the predetermined width so that both cooperatively and concurrently enhance viewing through the panel and the frame's stability.
Window assembly having frameless appearance and removable glass panel
A window assembly for installing in a window framing (also referred to as a “window casing”) of a wall of a building. The window assembly is configured to have a frameless appearance when installed with the finish surround installed around the interior and/or exterior of the window. The window assembly also allows the glass panel to be removed with a minimum of removal of the finish surround, such as without removing any of the finish surround, or only removing the finish surround around several sides of the only one of the interior or exterior of the window. For example, in most cases, only the interior finish surround around the right side and left side of the installed window frame needs to be removed to remove and replace the glass panel. Furthermore, the window assembly includes an integrated drain for draining moisture which leaks into the window assembly.
