COLD-FORMED GLASS ARTICLE AND ASSEMBLY PROCESS THEREOF
Embodiments of an article comprising a cold-formed glass substrate in a curved shape, a plurality of separate mechanical retainers, and a frame are disclosed. The cold-formed glass substrate has a first major surface, and a second major surface opposing the first major surface. In one more embodiments, the plurality of separate mechanical retainers are attached to the second major surface of the cold-formed glass substrate. The mechanical retainers may be attached to the frame to define a position for each of the plurality of mechanical retainers, such that the mechanical retainers define the curved shape. Embodiments of processes to form such articles are also provided. Such processes can include attaching a plurality of separate mechanical retainers to a flexible glass substrate such that the glass substrate maintains its flexibility, and attaching the mechanical retainers to a frame, such that the mechanical retainers attached to the frame define a cold-formed curved shape for the flexible glass substrate.
Retention clip assemblies, retention systems and methods
Retention clip assemblies, retention systems, and methods of using the same. The retention clip assemblies, retention systems and methods described herein may be used to retain glass lites and, potentially, other panels, in frame openings provided in fenestration unit frames.
Pressure plate with integrated pressure indicator
A pressure plate for securing at least one glass pane or panel against a frame includes a particular configuration of opposed wings adjoined by at least one resilient web, where raised portions of the opposed wings are moveable across a space towards each other thereby to bend the at least one resilient web out of a rest condition about a line of flexure an amount in proportion to the amount of force applied to the opposed wings.
Structural glazing weather seal with captured glazing option
A weather seal that inserts into a gap between glazing panels has an H-shape with a snap-on female receiver at either end for receiving a tongue extending from a structure at one end and a cap tongue in the other. A web extending between a pair of walls provides a weather barrier and allows the walls to flex enabling the snap-on action. A pair of sealing fins and a pair of bulbs extend laterally from the H-shape, bridging the gap to exclude weather infiltration. The second receiver is covered by extensions joined at a slit permitting the weather seal to be used without a cap. Alternatively, the cap may be affixed to the weather seal by pushing a cap tongue through the slit and into engagement with the second receiver.
Aperture cover with overlapping VIG unit and connection profile connected to structural frame member
The present disclosure relates to an aperture cover such as a window or a door. The aperture cover comprises a vacuum insulated glass unit (3), and a frame (2, 17) such as a sash. The frame (2, 17) comprises elongated structural frame members (8) which together encloses a frame opening (2a). The vacuum insulated glass unit (3) overlaps (18) at least one of the elongated structural frame members (8) so that the edge surface (7) of the vacuum insulated glass unit (3) extends beyond the outer side surface (14) of the overlapped elongated structural frame member (8). The frame (2) moreover comprises an elongated connection profile (6) comprising a connection wall member (6a) which extends parallel to the overlapped structural frame member (8) and is connected to at least one of the outer major surfaces (S1, S2) of the vacuum insulated glass unit (3), and the elongated connection profile (6) comprises a fixation member (6b) which is connected to the overlapped structural frame member (8).
Frameless glass fencing component
In one aspect there is disclosed a frameless glass fencing component (40) for a frameless glass fencing installation. The frameless glass fencing component (40) is produced from an engineering plastic and includes a substantially rigid reinforcing member (42).
Panel frame and a method for providing a panel
A panel frame (10) is provided, comprising a first profile (100) having a first structure (102) to support a first side (52) of an associated panel (50), and a second structure (104) to support an edge (56) of the same panel (50), and a second profile (200) being configured to connect to the first profile (100) and comprising a first structure (202) to support a second side (54) of the panel (50). The first profile (100) comprises at least one magnetic portion (120), such that a magnetic member (300) can be attached to the magnetic portion (120) in order to temporary clamp the panel (50) between the magnetic member (300) and the first structure (102) of the first profile (100).
SELF-CINCHING DEVICE FOR FENESTRATION UNITS
Embodiments herein relate to self-cinching devices for fenestration units. In a first aspect, a self-cinching clip device can be included having a base plate. The base plate can include a screw boss. The screw boss can define an oblong fastener aperture and a sloped surface. The sloped surface can be adjacent the oblong fastener aperture. The self-cinching clip device can include a foot member. The foot member can be disposed on a first end of the base plate. The self-cinching clip device can further include a retention lip. The retention lip can be disposed on a second end of the base plate. The sloped surface can have a first side and a second side opposite the first side along an axis interconnecting the foot member and the retention lip. The first side of the sloped surface can have a larger diameter than the second side.
Glass curtain wall fastener
A glass curtain wall fastener, a first clamping plate is provided opposite to a second clamping plate to hold a glass panel therebetween. A first connecting part is provided on a side of the first clamping plate adjacent to the second clamping plate, the second connecting part is provided on a side of the first clamping plate adjacent to the first clamping plate, and the first connecting part is connected to the second connecting part via a connecting element. A gap is defined between two adjacent glass panels, the first connecting part, the second connecting part, and the connecting element are received in the gap. In a direction from the first clamping plate to the second clamping plate, a sum of an extend length of the first connecting part and an extend length of the second connecting part is less than a thickness of the glass panel.
Fenestration assembly
A fenestration assembly includes a frame assembly, and a sash assembly. The frame assembly includes at least one each unitary frame member formed from a first sheet of material. The sash assembly including at least one unitary member being formed from a second single sheet of material.
