Seal for an overhead door
A seal for an overhead door includes a first sidewall, and a second sidewall that extends from the first sidewall. The first and second sidewalls extend beyond a bottom corner of the overhead door to cover an opening formed by compression of an astragal attached to a bottom surface of the overhead door.
HYBRID WINDOW FRAME ASSEMBLY WITH IMPROVED CORNER SEALS
A hybrid window frame assembly includes a primary window frame formed of a first material connected to a cladding frame formed of a second material. The cladding frame includes a peripheral channel defining a recess that receives a peripheral bead of the window frame to connect the cladding frame to the window frame. The hybrid window frame further includes injection block cutouts at each corner. Each injection block cutout exposes at least a portion of respective inner sidewalls of the channel and bead. The hybrid window frame assembly further includes injection blocks inserted in each injection block cutout. Each injection block includes at least one injection hole accessible from an exterior of the hybrid window frame assembly. The hybrid window frame assembly further includes sealant injected through the at least one injection hole of each injection block to seal respective corners of the window frame and cladding frame together.
ENTRYWAY SEALING SPACER
A gasket for an entryway is described that includes a compliant sealing portion having an uncompressed gasket thickness and a less compliant compression control portion having opposing exposed surfaces. A perimeter of the less compliant compression control portion is surrounded by the compliant sealing portion. A thickness of the less compliant compression control portion is less than the uncompressed gasket thickness.
Support and insulation element for supporting and insulating a window frame
The support and insulation element for supporting and insulating a window frame has a support part and an insulating part. The support part has a first leg comprising a first side surface, a second leg, which projects from the first leg, and a third leg, which projects from the first leg a certain distance away from the second leg. The support part is made of load-bearing material. The insulating part is arranged at least on the side of the first leg of the support part opposite the first side surface and is made of compacted mineral wool or a rigid foam. The insulating part comprises two slots, into which the second leg and the third leg of the support part are inserted. The insulating part surrounds three sides of both the second leg and the third leg of the support part.
Multi-layer sealing spacer for entryway components
A spacer for sealing a joint between a first component and a second component of an entryway. The spacer may include substantially rigid support and a first gasket having a first uncompressed thickness (T1). The first gasket is attached to a first surface of the support. The first surface has at least one first boss extending therefrom by a distance (D1) such that (D1) is less than (T1). The at least one first boss is configured to abut a portion of the first component to provide the desired compression of the first gasket between the first component and the support.
Building section with window frame
The building section comprises a wall and a peripheral window case, into which a window frame is inserted. The window case comprises several support sections arranged a certain distance apart and standing laterally out from the wall, each support section comprising a support part and an insulating part. The first leg of the support part is screwed to the wall, whereas the window frame is screwed to the second leg of the support part. The insulating part surrounds three sides of the second leg of the support part. In the areas between the support sections, the window case comprises insulating sections. The insulating parts of the support sections and the insulating sections bring about a substantially continuous insulation of the window frame around the window case.
SECURITY FRAME CORNER CONNECTOR
A corner connector having a first connector leg; and a second connector leg associated with the first connector leg, such that a connector angle is formed between the first connector leg and the second connector leg, each connector leg having: a leg body; at least one engagement port nested within the leg body; at least one set screw configured to be nested within the at least one engagement port of the corresponding connector leg; and a pair of connector grooves nested within the leg body of the corresponding connector leg, wherein each connector groove of the pair of connector grooves is configured to engage with a corresponding complementary structure of a corresponding member of a security frame. The corner connector is configured to facilitate a secure, waterproof seal between security frame members that form mitered corners, such that fluid does not infiltrate into the corresponding security frame after installation.
