Fire-protection rolling door

In order to develop a fire-protection rolling door of the type in question such that the fire resistance duration and thermal insulation are improved and increased and in particular heat transfer points extending through the door are avoided, a fire-protection rolling door is proposed which is composed of: —a rolling-door armor of profiled plates which interconnected in an articulated manner; —a sheet-shaped intermediate layer of fire-retardant and thermally insulating material; and—overlapping cover plates, which fire-protection rolling door is held, in the open state, above an opening to be closed in the event of a fire, such that the fire-protection rolling door can be guided in guide rails disposed on both sides, the sheet-shaped intermediate layer having planar carrier segments, which are covered with at least one layer of fire-retardant and thermally insulating material on both sides.

A high security two-way virtual cross-barrier observation and communication device has a mounting frame with a hardened core, a pair of digital displays, and a pair of cameras. The mounting frame may correspond to a typical interior door of a building or a relevant component of a vehicle, aircraft, or other relevant application. The hardened core is bullet-resistant and fire-resistant to protect occupants of a protected space from harm. The digital displays and cameras are positioned on opposing sides of the mounting frame, each camera transmitting a live video feed to the opposing display, creating the appearance of a window while protecting occupants. The digital displays may be used to display any desired information. An emergency protocol may be activated to communicate with emergency services. A plurality of laminate layers bond and encapsulate the displays and cameras to the hardened core, forming a rugged, self-contained unit with no moving parts.

Fire protection glazing made of two or more glass panes spaced apart from each other by a spacer. A fire protection material and the spacer are arranged in an intermediate space between the two glass panes. A secondary seal encloses the fire protection material and the spacer in the intermediate space. The secondary seal has a intumescent fire protection property. Exclusively the fire protection material, the spacer, optionally having an optional spacer attachment for attaching the spacer to the glass pane, and the secondary seal can be arranged in the intermediate space between the two glass panes.

SELF-TESTING FIRE DOOR

Once a fire door has been installed, the door will typically require regular inspection to ensure that the fire door is still able to operate as intended. An issue typically seen with fire doors is related to the gaps between the door and the frame that being too large. The present disclosure provides a self-testing fire door system 100 comprising a first distance sensor 140 arranged to measure a first distance between a fire door 110 and a door frame 120. The first distance sensor 140 comprises a first sensor member 141 arranged on the door frame 120 and a second sensor member 142 arranged on the fire door 110 adjacent to the first sensor member 141 when the fire door 110 is in a closed position. The system 100 further includes a processor configured to measure, via the first distance sensor 140, a distance between the fire door 110 and the frame 120 and output the first distance.

Accessory rail integral with or mounted to a door

An access door may include a core, stiles on opposites sides of the core, an elongated panel extending transversely between the stiles, wherein a major face of the door between the stiles defines one or more recessed pockets along a top edge of the elongated panel between and the stiles and the elongated panel, and a notch formed into the top edge of the elongated panel and extending along at least one of the recessed pockets, the notch extending downwardly into the top edge of the elongated panel so as to form a lip in the top edge of the elongated panel with the notch positioned between the lip and the one or more recessed pockets, the lip and the notch of the elongated panel together forming an accessory rail, wherein the accessory rail is configured to receive and support a complementarily configured hanger base of an accessory hanger.

FIRE PROTECTION FASTENING DEVICE FOR FASTENING A DOOR ACTUATOR

A fire protection fastening device for fastening a door actuator, includes a frame with a back side, which is to be oriented to a mounting surface, in particular to a door, casing or wall, wherein a mounting axis is defined vertically to the back side. The frame is formed for arrangement between a door actuator and the mounting surface or is an integral component of the door actuator (102), at least one reaction chamber formed in the frame, wherein the frame delimits the reaction chamber on the entire circumference. The reaction chamber is open on the back side and/or on a front side of the frame opposite the back side. The device further includes a drive element made from thermally intumescent material disposed in the reaction chamber and, when activated, is formed for pushing away the door actuator from the mounting surface.
